I created a necromancer because they can look quite evil, but it irritates me that the hair and face has a slight green tint to it.

The colors chosen do not have green tint to em, I’ve chosen black as hair color, black as skin color with grey(or something similar to grey) as skin tint, and for the love of me I can’t figure out, where the green is coming from.
I tried the exact same options for a mesmer and engy, and they don’t get the same tint..
Anyone experience this? Anyone know how to get rid of it?

Well, they are plant-people.

In all seriousness, could it have been your Sylvari’s glow? The default glow color for Necromancers is green, I believe.

I changed it to white, is why it didn’t make sense.

I think it’s just one face that does it, I noticed it too when I made my necromancer. The areas that are green become your glow color at night. I think it’s just a sylvari thing to have random green since they are plants, but I’ve only kept one sylvari character so Idk for sure. I never thought about it being green because of being a necromancer, I just thought it was the face I chose.

Are you looking at the character in-game, or on the character creation screen?

I think there might be a tint to the lighting during character creation, matching the “background color” of each profession (which is dark green in the case of Necromancer). So if you’re only looking at the character creation window, that could be causing the green tint, the fact that the lighting is tinted green. Would explain why it doesn’t appear that way on different character classes.

There’s definitely not an actual color difference based on class.

That’s just it, it was there during character creation and thought it might be due to the background, so I kept going. And it is still there during actual gameplay!

Hmm.

There are some skin colors which have secondary green tints to them. I know my Sylvari is one of the yellow colors, but she still has quite a bit of green as well. Know some of the reds have green secondary tints to them as well. Didn’t think any of the black shades had it, but I could be wrong. Which skin color did you choose?

That might be it, perhaps. I know you can choose a primary color and a secondary, but if there’s an inbuilt tint to some of the colors that might be what is affecting it?
I picked a black skin with grey secondary (or was it grey and grey?) Dark colors anyhow.
But the weird thing is, when I chose the exact same options for a mesmer or engineer, the green tint wasn’t there.

Sometimes the skin color can affect how much of the secondary green color shows up, but most Sylvari have that tint in the overall body. Some of the faces also have green on them that you can’t change, like Ashes mentioned above.

It’s not a necro thing. Certain skin tones for sylvari come with green accents. I have two sylvari, and on my thief it’s most prominent. If you look at the screen you’ll see her skin is a brown color but her cheeks have a green contour, and her lips are green.
