Anyone knows what is this skin tone(in-game alternative) and how to achieve a similar look in game?
Also,what would be a cool skin tone for a mesmer sylvari!Dark or light?(greens and blues i dont like much!)

I have a similar toned sylvari, but I will have to look up what skin-tone it is. But it would be a rather light green.

You’d have to have long ears and a leaf-top hairstyle.

My Sylvari Mesmer is more of a “pretty” Sylvari, her skin tone is I think pine, and her pattern color is I believe dark pine – basically she’s a natural green, with darker hands and feet due to her pattern. PM me, and I will meet you in-game (with both my Engineer and Mesmer to see my different looks).

I have seen some very beautiful light Sylvari Mesmers in the white to purple range. I went “natural” with mine. My Mesmer’s glow is also green (again, a version of pine I believe).

I think dark looks good, but it might be hard to find an appropriate balance. But maybe a possibility: since Mesmers have a bit of a purple theme, make her be dark purple, with a lighter purple pattern and bright purple glow. You can perhaps inverse that with keeping the glow the same (I like bright colors for glows and I like keeping with the same theme).

I think my Engineer looks fairly exotic with light green skin and dark purple hair and pattern. I really like the contrast.

Mesmers are mysterious, and commonly themed purple. I’d suggest light – partly because I think it’s easier to work with and that you can make some rather dashing contrast patterns, but dark should be able to be worked with (I had a hard time making one that worked that I could see any contrast in my pattern with her general look without getting a particular armor).

Try Lichen, I have that skin tone on my vari necro and I think it’s pretty close. The painting has a lot more variation than you’ll get in game though.

My mesmer vari has a very dark tone, I forget the name but it’s super dark green verging on black (Nightwood, maybe? It’s toward the bottom right of options when you scroll right). He has vivid deep pink leaves with a bright purplish pink glow.

It looks like a very light green in the painting – my Necro is similar but I went with Lily which is an ashen white, with a red glow
The hairstyle in the painting looks very like the one I have on my Engi

for my Mesmer I went for the very pale light brown with a very slight pale pink pattern and a white glow- the idea was to make her look like the moon- pale and reflective

thnx for the replies guys!I went with ashen color before i see the replies though and i love it!I didnt want her to be green or blue so i was between a dark or white skin(coming from lineage i think sylvaris more like elves for some reason)!So i ended up going with white and white glow with wine hair!(i really dont want to make my mesmer pink or purple but i might add some for the sake of her proffesion!)

@Lorelei @Donari ty for the help!:)Natural and light green seems a viable choice also but i wanted my sylvari to be a bit more….apart of the green concept!As i said above,they remind me more of elves so i didnt want to make her too planty!:)
@Morrigan Your skin tone and the color scheme you picked looks quite what i have imagined for my sylvari,especially the second pic!I was thinking about the moon too,make her like an ethereal beuaty walking in the woods or something!

So without saying more i ended up like this(i stripped her because armor is ugly early game)

myself I like the “planty” aspects of Sylvari very much- I have the same hair in the same color on my Engi

Anyways..i think if i was to make another sylvari,it would be definately a ranger..i am leaving the engineering to asuras!:p

What gloves are those the sylvari with orange armor is wearing ?

Mine? She’s got the Profane gloves from the gem store set. I liked the claw tip look. She used to have that “comb over” hairstyle, too, but I wanted the fern braids bad. Plus you get no hair glow in the comb over. I did enjoy the cheeky victorian look she had with it, though.

I hate to hijack the thread, but what gloves are those that your necro is wearing? The yellow fingertips. I’d love those for my mesmer (assuming the male version is the same..) but I looked at a few armor sites and couldn’t find them.

Yeah, I was trying not to hijack so I buried my answer in my post right above yours, Egon

I had all the Profane pieces in my bank forever, and have now used the mask on my Asura mesmer because it’s ridiculously and hilariously large on her, and the gloves on my vari necro as you see. The rest of the set languishes even now.

I think the gloves are similar for the male version but I’m not sure.

There’s a look my engineer had before that was dark but I changed it for a bold orange + purple + blue scheme. In any case if you want dark + purple, go to your character creator and try Marionberry skin tone, peach skin pattern, peach glow and peach sunset hair colour. Works best with pine or peach coloured eyes. For armour though bright colours won’t look so great. It looked best with desaturated colours and tints unless and until you get cultural armour, which can handle brighter colours because of the texture.
