Stop using cultural armor, we are brand new race, how can we claim trust from other species when we look like bushes and trees?

With a face like that I don’t think it’s your armor that would be the problem :P

Grenth is one of humans favorite gods (i investigate this), so skull facepaint should help with communicate those apes, cats and gremlins.

I actually am in the process of getting two armor sets for my Sylvari. One is the cultural set, another one hasn’t been entirely decided on. I want to want until they release something like Krytan armor for light armor classes… Pants look so good on her.

Usually she has her usual look, but I figured she could have a more eye candy approach since sylvari are already eye candy wit dem colors

This is a strangely vitriolic exchange considering the silly tone of the original post. Ease up a bit!

Also, blacktemplar, how can you say sylvari cultural armor is ugly? IMHO it’s the best cultural lineup in the game. I’ve rerolled classes I already have just to be able to wear it. Holy smokes, it’s fantastic. Consider my mind boggled, sir.

That said, my sylvari ele is currently wearing non-cultural armor and he looks super duper.

Cultural still has weapon clipping with hands though and actually widens the hips a little too.

If it makes you feel any better, as soon as I have the materials, I will be making almost full ascended for my thief. It is not cultural armor and about the only female armor i can stand on sylvari besides cultural.

Working on something like this for my Sylvari Guardian to try and compensate for the rather awful proportion issues that plague male Sylvari. (This preview was done in the pvp locker, so I didn’t have much freedom with dye customization.)

It’s a little big in the butt, but I think that will barely be noticeable – it’s hardly as bad as many non-culturals in that regard.

And overall, it’s pretty badkitten.

The pic I posted was my Guardian~ He’s using Seraph chest and HoM heavy and Radiant helmet, and CoF shoulders. It’s probably my favorite armor set-up on Sylvari.

This ones my Necro, although he’s wearing TA shoulders. :o
and my Thief~ but he wears cultural+human. It’s extremely difficult to dress a Medium armor tier male Sylvari when 99% of it doesn’t fit correctly. CM and AC body are 2 that do.

Looking at your guardian makes me want to make another Sylvari male! I don’t have any that use heavy armour… I know what I’m doing tonight! Designing a male heavy tree man!

The Mesmer Mordvari, Jatoro’s gear with Fanged Dread Mask.

Completed my new look (minus the Mask of the Wanderer, which I’m guessing hasn’t been added yet). Little to no clipping. Few to no proportion issues. All around awesome.

I was feeling a bit festive with the dyes, obviously. I’m not usually so gaudy.

Mine have a mix of gear. Usually 2-3 pieces of cultural, but with some pieces of Order or plain gear, and some other stuff. Kind of a Lions Arch immigrant look.

Wellp… Finished my main Sylvari’s Ascended armor. Not so sure about the helmet but meow.
