As I’ve been playing the game I’ve noticed a lot of Sylvari NPCs (my favorite race btw) wearing a mixture of the cultural armor pieces and regular armor. I really like this look
when it is done right.

Last night I spent a huge amount of time finding just the right pieces of armor to put together on my Mesmer! After all that work, I am curious to see any/all outfits of people’s characters that use a mixture of the cultural/TA armor and regular armor.

I think it might be nice to have a sort of gallery of what regular armor pieces go well with the Sylvari cultural/TA armor!

Hey, thats very similar to what my Sylvari wears, with the same chest colors too almost! I just wear the Flame Legion gloves to hide the just too long fingers female sylvari has as claws … really, just look at the hands in your picture! Then I kept the T2 Sylvari feet and headgear as well.

Gotta admit though, the Whisper’s Light Armor just works very well with the T2 Sylvari Shoulders to not use.

i have a mix between cultural 3, cultural 1, and nightmare going. i’m thinking of getting TA gloves.

I can’t post a picture now, but I will later today, but here is what I wear:
Head:Invisible
Shoulders:T3
Chest:T2
Gloves:Nightmare
Pants:T2
Boots:Nightmare
Btw these are Medium Armor.

I’m actually having trouble deciding, if should swap:
Shoulder:T3—>T2
Chest:T2—>T3

So here is the photo of my Sylvari (the white parts are actually brighter).
The second pic is the set I’m wondering I should swap to.

Head: Celestial / Midnight Ice / Celestial
Shoulders: Sapphire / Celestial
Body: Midnight Ice / Celestial / Illumination
Gloves: Winter Ice
Legs: Midnight Ice / Celestial / Illumination
Feet: Illumination / Celestial

I really like using Illumination for the “Gold”-like look on these pieces. Of course it was just my luck, that the color for the hair I chose from the start was a Rare color in the Dyes. Took me forever to find and match it, for those shoulders.
Also My Sweet Lily, I didn’t realize the TA Gloves looked like THAT! Just a shame they aren’t the Light Armor ;_;

Yeah, she does have kind of freakishly long fingers. I never noticed that before!

Mixed T3 heavy with the exotic karma armor. Love it.

This rose has thorns and here they are!

I feel less of a Sylvari for wearing leather.

Updated my look slightly. Still trying to figure out exactly how to dye these things.

Swapped the T2 Light Shoulders for the T3 Light Shoulders.

It just seemed very fitting, especially with the Leaf look vs. the T2’s “Wings” style. I’ll miss the T2 for a bit, but I like how the T3 Shoulders looks in their place. Now to keep applying dyes until they fit what I hope they would look like.
