As i have been playing this game with many different characters among the five races, I have noticed that the sylvari only receive racial themed weapons (excluding karma and TA themed weapons) from a few select personal story missions. In all the other racial areas the characters receive weapons based around the dominant race in that area. Now my question is why do the sylvari areas not have plant themed weapon drops? It kind of destroys immersion with the plant based sylvari when they are receiving Glyphic weapons in their drops in their areas.

Examples:
Charr area gets a STEAM Weapon drop.
Asura area gets a GLYPHIC Weapon drop.
Human area gets a KRYTAN Weapon drop.
Norn area gets a SHIVERPEAK Weapon drop.

Sylvari area gets a GLYPHIC drop? Why this? Thanks for any answers that prove otherwise and if not, hopefully ANet sees this and may change it!

Because asura and sylvari share the same lands :>

Asura and Sylvari do share the same lands, causing glyphic items to be more common there. However, Sylvari do get their own weapons at higher levels, they’re called “Verdant” and they’re rare-only drops. They appear grown vines and leaves around a blue crystal in place of the required “metal” parts of the weapons. For example the Verdant Greatsword has a massive blue blade which can be seen behind my Mesmer in the attachment.

What level do you start seeing those weapons? It’s annoying how Sylvari get the Glyphic weapons, even if they share the land with Asura.

One other thing, every race gets a personal story reward around level 10 or so that’s called an “Avenger’s” weapon and has a racial skin to it. Sylvari get a verdant skinned weapon. So it’s worth it to hang onto that one and keep transmuting it if you want to keep a plant themed weapon.

I also believe several renown hearts in the Brisban Wildlands offer plant weapons as well.
