Sylvari -are- plants. =p

The Sylvari are what Ivy’s special dreams are about.

Actually, they’re very similar to a character named Zhaan from a show called Farscape. From a race of very spiritual sentient plants.

They technically are copy cats when you consider where the blueprints for their bodies came from. XD

Poison Ivy wanted to create the Sylvari but the Pale Tree beat her to it. Batman kept beating her in general, which slowed her down. ;/

So after we defeat the elder dragons the next expansion’s boss will be Batman. We’re doomed.

The Forest of Cheem is a race of sentient, bipedal trees that are direct descendants of the Old Earth Trees. (Cheem being “The Great Tree” in their language)

Its hard to come up with something completely original. Its like comparing the Charr to furries.

Well I consider the Sylvari with their lore background pretty unique, the idea of a plant based sentient lifeform isn’t new.

I think someone owes Kids in the Hall a royalty cheque.

You could search Google w/ any number of topics and come up with millions of pictures that would fit the “slyvari” look. That being said, I can’t think of many other games where you actually get to play as a plant.
