Guys I’m desperate for some help with a good mix set of light armor for my sylvari male ele.

I just crafted the exalted set after hitting 80 and dear lord, I feel like a stupid plant man in a skirt lol. Does anyone know of a good looking mix for light armor for a sylvari male ele? really desperate here XD.

Heh, I sorta have the same problem. The lack of trouser options for light armour is quite annoying. All mages = robes apparently. If I could wear something like the medium armours I would be extremely happy. My male necro wears a combo of the cultural and that’s what I’m sticking with for now. I’m not 100% sold on a lot however a few sets stick out.

T1/2 cultural – I think these are your best options, not as obviously robe like, which gets a thumbs up.
Ascalon Clergy Dungeon armour – I think this is the only trouser option (without any side skirt/panels) we have. It’s not bad but not amazing either.
Seer set – I think it’s called the Acolyte(exotic) set on crafting. It’s the set with the blindfold. I think this is one of the best we have, again not as obviously robe like as the skirt panels are separated.
Vigil – I do like this one but it’s kind of moot if you didn’t pick this order during your storyline.
The God Armour – Orrian temple karma vendors. On the PvP previews it’s either the Armageddon set (I’m pretty sure it’s this one) or the Outriders. Either way both are more embroidered ‘coat’ like I think.
I think you should just go through the previews in the HotM and just see which one takes your fancy.

I absolutely loathe how my male sylvari elementalist looks in light armor. I have yet to find or see a combination that I find appealing. I desperately want a race change because I’m seriously considering just starting a new ele which would be a real pain considering my current has 2 full sets of ascended gear (sans earrings).

Pleeeeease give us race changes. I don’t care about the personal story; reset it. I stopped doing it at lvl 60 anyways due to lack of interest.

You could always run around as a naked witchdoctor like my necro sylvari.

Oh, man, I know exactly how you feel. I wish -desperately- that the TA pants looked different on males and females… I love the plant-themed stuff, but at the same time I want to look deadly, not fluffy. >.< (Heck, the TA Heavy Pants would be perfect.)

At any rate, I’m a big fan of the Exotic Karma sets, as well as the Masquerade stuff.

The first 4 pictures are of the Godly set, with 2 different colorings. (I run as a support Ele most of the time, so I like the Earth and Water feel of the second coloring, but the first coloring lets me show off my Rare Dye. XD)

The third set is my “Today I feel like &^$%#@&^$ people up,” outfit. (Or if I’m feeling naughty; but that’s neither here nor there.) The TA stuff is pretty frilly in it’s entirety, but that mask makes it look a lot more… disturbing. It’s the Hero Mask (Mhenlo, or Ogden, or something like that), TA Chest, shoulders, and gloves, and then T2 Pants, T1 boots. (When I can afford it, I may swap out the Shoulders for the T3.)

Anyway, hope that gives you some ideas. Again I’d like to stress how much I want the TA Heavy pants… -sigh-.

Don’t discount the lower level looks! If it is specifically a non-robe option you are wanting, I’d suggest the Magician, Country, or Student sets. The Masquerade, Seer, and Embroidered sets also have a bit more of an elaborate look without being too robe/skirt like. And the Vigil set is probably my favorite for a non-robe look, but it is a little harder to come by.

I find this thread an excellent example of how people like different things. I had originally made my Sylvari male as a Ranger and then as a Warrior but eventually settled as a Necromancer because I just love all the robes and elaborate flowing garments. Comes with the territory, I figure.
