I think it’s because the armor uses your skintone in some parts and then it mixes with the color you chose.
I added a screenshot, you can see the green color and that’s not my skin tone, the pants are T1. The green color really makes it impossible to dye it the way I want :/
Everything you throw onto it becomes darker or lighter than it actually is. It’s very difficult armor to dye. A bit extra crazy for you with the green though, did you use any Tattoo-whatever thingys on skin?

Yes I do have a skin pattern but it’s orange.
Soulmyr, I’m wearing the same set on my Sylvari thief and had the same issue. My solution was to go to the TP and preview dyes on the armor until I found one that dyes it the shade I’m looking for. I was looking for a certain shade of green I couldn’t get with any green dye I tried, ended up using a cream/greyish dye to get the green I was after.
This forum is a wretched hive of scum and villainy. ~DevilLordLaser
It’s my personally belief that some armors have an underlying base color that sorta mixes with what you’re dyeing it with. Those boots get green and bright easily.
I’m glad I like this dark n’ purple look I run with.
