I’m level 14 and still couldn’t swap weapon. Elementalist to be exact.

In fact, my 2nd weapon slot is not even there.

Which is odd, most other race i should get weapon swap by now, is this a bug?

My thief sylvari can swap just fine, and my human elementalist can swap also.

I highly doubt that your human elementalist can weapon swap, no elementalist can.
Elementalists and Engineer are the two professions (as far as I know) who can’t weapon swap.

oh yea…! i just realize that too. Cause Elementalist can already swap element, swap weapon too would be overpowered lol

That’s suck….I would like a long range weapon and melee range for different situation.

The dagger and scepter offer both of those, to an extent. Different elements have different ranges on their attacks. Using the same element all of the time isn’t practical (even if you have a preferred one like I do) — you have to use them all as needed.

Try playing around with your non-staff item combos and finding something that works for your needs. Keep a staff around for when you’re in huge groups (makes dropping back to support with Water much easier), but otherwise figure out which mainhand and offhand you prefer and stick to your guns.

There’s only four combinations so it won’t take you too long to feel them out.
