If Zhiatan is anything to go by, he could know anything his minions know, from life or after.

The dream is known to be the collective intelligence of all Sylvari, should they actually be jungle Dragon minions, then everything they have done, he knows.
Wyld Hunts, “would have been” intelligence missions, or even attempted Genocide.
There is a Sylvari in the highlands (i don’t remember what it’s actually called x.x(Lots of Centaurs )) who’s Wyld hunt is to kill the Centaurs.
When you have an unlimited supply of troops, you can afford suicide missions, so giving Sylvari a goal from the start, even if it’s impossible, they will eventually attenp it and if they fail, they next Sylvari to get that task will subliminally know the situation one step better, then the next will know more and so on.

To the question of why they would a Sylvari be given the task if killing other dragon, or cleans ing Orr. Perhaps the theory of dragons consuming the magic of another is possible.
We don’t know if the dragons are all buddys, or if they Wil fight eachother given the chance.

Now as always this is just theorycrafting fun stuff, and is also assuming Sylvari are Dragon minions. So have fun with it

1. It’s proven lorefact that dragons do consume magic.

2. For all the love of Sylvari, please – no more ‘Sylvari are dragon minions’. I can accept theories that Scarlet was influenced by a dragon, or maybe even nightmares in the dream are dragon corruptions. But not that all Sylvari are directly bred to be dragon minions.

Nearly all the dragon minions we’ve seen, are mindless, kill-happy, corruptions. Icebrood, branded, and undead. The Sylvari are intelligent, philosophical, and in most cases, very peaceful.

The Dream is part of the Mists. The Dragons have nothing to do with the Mists. There goes your theory!

The Dream is NOT the collective intelligence of the Sylvari, it’s just the place they come from before they are born and which they have a strong link to – it stores memory and experience, it is not a hive mind.

Wyld hunts most often revolve around protecting people or stopping bad things from happening. The ONLY people who had Wyld hunts to do with Orr – dangerous hunts – were Caithe, Trahearne, and the Player Character.

There is not an “unlimited supply” of Sylvari. Nor are they disposable. The death of a Sylvari deeply affects those Sylvari who are alive and also affects the Dream – having Sylvari FEEL their friends die is not conducive to making a mindless unstoppable army.

Also ONLY SOME Sylvari have Wyld hunts. A Wyld hunt I believe isn’t actually hugely common, most Sylvari don’t have one, and a lot of them have nothing to do with fighting or killing.

A Sylvari would be given the task of cleansing Orr/killing Zhaitan BECAUSE THEY IMMUNE TO DRAGON CORRUPTION. The Pale Tree is very obvious about how much she wants to save Tyria. The Sylvari want the dragons dead for the same reason as all the other races – because if they don’t they will be killed. The Sylvari are brand new to Tyria, they don’t want their experience of the world to be short lived because it was consumed by Dragons.

And as Arikyali points out the Sylvari are completely different to any of the other Dragon minions, as is the Pale Tree. These are intelligent beings bent on PRESERVING life.

Sylvari are not dragon minions. This topic has been killed to death on the lore forums.
