Verdant vs. Warden vs. Nightmare
Warden > Nightmare > Verdant.
Other 80s: Any but Warrior
Warden is the best imo, preview sucks for it, but the glassy look of parts usually made of steel is awesome
Verdant is way too bright for my eyes, and it gets annoying because I see norn and charr running around with the rifle all the time
Nightmare is just…I understand the look, but it’s not my thing.
Warden definitely, after that Nightmare. I just wish they were blue instead of purple, because my sylvari is black and blue. :P

Personally, I like the Verdant Focus (<3 my glowy rose focus!), but haven’t been that enamored of the Warden/Nightmare weapons. They look too thorny and uncomfortable to hold. I may end up getting the Warden Staff for my Sylvari Necromancer, however.
I prefer Warden simply because of the transparency on the “glass”. Its a cooler effect than the solid crystal look of the Verdant, IMO. They also tend to look a bit more weapon-like, a bit more sturdy, which is also nice since using plants as weapons is already a bit of a stretch.
Verdant is still nice looking though. I just wish they were a bit more readily available, I’m still in the middle of the levelling process on all my characters (highest level character is 70 and all 4 others are around 50) and I typically don’t buy rare weapons. Too much extra money spent, when you can get a masterwork weapon for 1-2s and then rare weapons are usually 20s. But Verdant weapons require you to spend that much if you want to see them at all.
I haven’t really looked at the Nightmare weapons yet. I’ll have to give them a look at some point. Do the nightmare weapons have the same nuance as the Verdant / Warden weapons, where they don’t show up in previews correctly and need to be viewed in screenshots?
verdant weapons are karma weapons in the grove and rata sum
Gotta be less than 20k karma imo
and nightmare weapons show up correctly, they are more of a purple and sinister version of the other two, but there aren’t really any palette swaps or nothing. It’s a different design (unlike the CoE and SE weapons which are just red versions of existing weapons)
I didn’t really like nightmare stuff… even though my character has the same shade pink on his glow it just felt a little… meh.
The Warden stuff is awesome however. Best karma I ever spent! I have the daggers and the trident, and am considering the staff, scepter and focus as alternate sets.

Tier 2 weapons are actually 35k karma from the cultural vendors. Which is way overpriced. Like you said, should have been under 20k (which would be roughly double the cost of the T1 karma vendors).
ah, my bad
well, if you really want verdant, you could just buy the skin off TP. No level requirement, 20 silver isn’t bad, you could always just go masterwork and transmute (I’m basing these numbers off your earlier post). I think there are other places you can buy the skins, I remember just doing a heart and they had the greatsword one (Gendarran? Brisban?) I know mount maelstrom has a heart with some verdant too, but that doesn’t help since you wanted earlier levels I believe
I actually got a verdant staff in a low lvl story quest reward.
I prefer the Warden weapons though as my Sylvari is more autumn theme.
I found this staff as a low lvl at either a karma merchant or story reward and I really like it too
Verdant is too brightly saturated for my liking, I’d only use it if my Sylvari was also bright green/blue. Warden looks best.
I wish we could dye weapons.
Also, I like that low-level white tree-branch staff too ^
I’ve used a couple transmutation stones to have it. Not sure if I’ll keep bothering, but it amused me for a few levels.
