So our cultural weapons are pretty cool in that the blades are only showed when you draw the weapon, but I dislike the “bright blue” look of the Carrion set. I’m trying to find a good picture of the Warden Greatsword’s blade, to no avail.

Anybody care to help a flower out?

I’m thinking of getting this greatsword. Anyone know if it has any animations while using it?

no particle effects if thats what you mean. but the blade has a transparency and an opalescent shimmer to the surface, a still shot doesn’t really do it justice. it is lovely.

The blade only appears when you draw the weapon?
Is that a warden only effect because my Carrion Verdant blades are always visible.
*Note: im 80% sure the Carrion part isnt part of the weapon name but referring to the stats of the weapon, Its just that they only come in that one set of stats so its always Carrion Verdant.

The blade is always visible, it just doesn’t appear properly in the preview screen because it’s a special texture (blue sap/glass effect)

Some others warden weapons have SS too, just take a look

It’s a sweet looking weapon. Can non-sylvari acquire it? Looks like a human is weilding it on the wiki page.

Yes, any race can wield any of the cultural weapons.

You sure? I think I’m remembering a scene, when I tried to preview the human T3 cultural weapons and the NPC told me, that I don’t have the right to wear them.
Furthermore I never saw any other race wearing T3 Sylvari weapons. But I’m not sure, I’ll test it.

Edit: Ok, I was wrong. Strange, all the time I was convinced, that the T3 weapons are special as the cultural armor and just the right race could wear them. I wonder how I got that impression
