Who decides on a Sylvari's name?
Alright so I know that the player creates a Sylvari’s name but from a lore perspective, who names the Sylvari? They have no parents. Do they name themselves while in the dream? Does The Pale Tree name them?
From what little I understand of the Sylvari I think the name is chosen by them.

I always figured from a Lore perspective that they just “know” their name. They just go in the dream or wake up and just KNOW that their name is Avylin or Zepher or whatever.
Not sure if it’s the same for every sylvari, but there’s an NPC in the Grove named Pherick who says nobody gave him his name, he just knew it when he awoke.
Heh, I think I remember that guy! Shame he doesn’t seem to have sylvari-specific dialog, since another sylvari would likely agree with what he has to say. I too always figured that the sylvari “just know”. Given all the other skills and knowledge they awaken with, it’d be a bit odd if they did not know who they are.
