I rarely play sylvari only reason I have one is for a cheesy skyhammer engi build. Everytime I do a regular jump be it standing still or moving he makes an annoying grunting sound like he is doing #2. I play Norn and Charr mainly and they never make these sounds unless it’s from a high fall

It’s because we have stiff knees and jumping requires some extra oomph for us.

Female varis sound okay in jumping or mining but yeah, my male warrior sounds like he’s getting a hernia every time. I hadn’t played a male vari before so it surprised the heck out of me when I began leveling him.

Give it another decade and you’ll be making all kinds of noise even when you’re not doing anything all that strenuous.

All races make sounds when they jump, not sure why you think they don’t.

The male Sylvari’s jump sounds do seem a bit more noticeable, though.

I think male Sylvari make interesting sounds when they jump. It took awhile to get used to them though. I still think it sounds like they’re hacking up a lung when they cut down a tree. It’s a very distinctive sound.
