Anyone else noticed these npc’s in game? Why aren’t these hair styles available to the player, i’d love to be able to have my sylvari with one

Those aren’t hairstyles, those are helmets from the sylvari cultural armor.

It does not look like the chef costume from gemstore, if it does it is very very little so. Do not think it is cultural armor either, because I checked the looks for all 3 tiers for both light, medium and heavy. (I was curious) and non of them look like this as far as I recall. So yeah I am also curious to know what this armor/hair/whatever is.

I saw those too, and figured those were just hair styles that were not available to player characters. Heck, Sylvari can have a mushroom cap or leafy branches as “hair”, so those definitely look like hair styles to me.

Those ones in particular aren’t my thing, but more options are a good thing and it’d be great to see the NPC only hairstyles available for players. I really love the style on one of the Trading Post NPC’s in Caledon Forest! I wonder if there are any other NPC only Sylvari hair styles?

Syvari need more hair option and more helmets and armors on game…. More hair with flowers will be fun.

They need a helm or hair style modeled off an orchid.

Based on the fact that the “hair” matches the clothing those NPCs are wearing, I’d wager its not hair, but a hat for town clothes. Town clothes that is unavailble to players at this point (though I hope it becomes an option at some point).

Huh, interesting idea that it is a hat! IMHO the male’s looks kinda like he is wearing a bird’s nest hat, while the female’s looks more like “hair” to me.

I wish I had a better pic, to me it kinda looks like it is coming out of her head, not like it is a hat. But whether it be hat or hair, it would be pretty neat to have in game for players!

. . . and I find it hilarious that we are actually having to contemplate if something is hair or a hat. Sylvari are awesome. xD

I like those really solid looking wood armour. Wish they did sets themed like that for heavy armour, tier 3 heavy doesn’t look solid at all except for the gloves :P

I second that motion! I was pretty disappointed with the limited selection we were given for the sylvari, and there is nothing that really looks like the elegant female pictured on the “choose a race” screenshot [see attached]. I was really hoping for a long “vines” style, preferably with some sort of floral hair pin or circlet accessories…

yeah i like my sylvari with a ponytail but id like him with some long as hair maybe that goes down to his back

Love to see Long hair on male and female could use a design like willow branches & leaves for a long hair look

@ OP I have no idea what that is but my guess is also a hat or helmet of some sort
