i really have feel bad putting my Sylvari in heavy armor, it looks really out of place having a Sylvari with a none racial heavy armor.
lets leave out the fact that almost all the heavy armors in game lack some special outline like light and medium armor if they arn’t racial. But on a sylvari it looks out of place just i can’t put my finger on it.. but its not good.

anyone feel the same way?

No I don’t feel the same way, and what are you trying to accomplish with this thread? You have the option to wear racial armor.

I have a Sylvari Guardian – no problem with the heavy armour on Sylvari at all. Why do you feel bad wearing it?

it looks really suitable on all the other races but Sylvari look like i just can’t pooint it out. it just make them lose alot of the unique they have. and well the Heavy armor does look very plain

It just seem like it does not match the Sylvari the heavy armor in some level, and its only the racial or the Twilight arbor Heavy armor that actualy work.
and i don’t know, i guess its more an issue with how plain the heavy armor looks rather then the armor on a sylvari it self.

I don’t like the look of heavy armor in general, at least the mostly low level skins, like you said it looks just too plain.
As for it looking weird on Sylvari… To be honest I’d probably feel weird with any kind of armor or clothing, especially while running through Sylvari locations where every other Sylvari is in plant clothing/armor.

If it was just up to me I’d put in special plant starter armor for Sylvari, but Anet would then have to do the same thing for other races too so some of the players don’t think that Sylvari are getting special attention. It’s silly but I know some people would be able to get offended by this.

Nevertheless once we reach 35lvl there’s no need to wear ordinary armor ever again as even the Tier 1 Cultural sets look amazing.

I have a lvl 80 Sylvari Warrior and i gotta say that Tier 1 – 3 look amazing! Some of the best looking armor by far imo.

Agreed, and they are bacially unique in the entire game as all other races use ordinary clothing/armor.
The only thing I don’t like is the helmet for Tier 3 Heavy armor. But that doesn’t matter much since I don’t dispay helmets anyway, I didn’t spend an hour creating that cute face just to hide it behind helmet.

lol. same the tier 3 head is a bit weird, but i bet with the right color combo it could like its smoldering from a fire. that might look cool

Perhaps, but like I said, I didn’t create that pretty face/head just to hide it behind some helmet. I think the physical part of character creation would kinda lost its meaning if I did.

save up for the cultural armour, its looks amazing.

I reckon scale armours work pretty well for sylvari. Colouring the scales green gives you a decent leaf motif. (BTW, does it seem that banded armour and one of the reinforced scales have had their skins switched to anyone else?).

The Tier 3 Cultural Armor looks freaking amazing! It’s going to take me forever to save up money to buy it but it is definitely worth it!

I had the same feeling at first, but with certain armors you get a very nice contrast between the leafy-ness and the metalness

I got mixed opinions.
I don’t like the full T3 set. It doesn’t look heavy enough. When I was thinking of a heavy plant I was thinking of some solid wood kind of gear! I like the gloves (let’s ignore the graphic glitch) and I like the style of the helm, I just think it should be a full face helm so you can’t see your face.
The rest is meh imo, thankfully T2 looks pretty good so you can mix and match the parts you like!

I dunno, I like my sylvari warrior’s armor. It’s a combination of two sets.
