One of the biggest EU PVE servers (UW) just sacrificed their whole day attempting. The best we manage is 60%. We seem to heavily lack DPS.

I don’t buy it, I don’t see “Overflow” on that map and as far as I can tell there’s no way to get into non overflow versions of this event…

I’m a roleplayer and I was there! Woo!

Was amazing fun guys. Seriously was almost having a heart attack when I seen how low he was and he wasn’t dying.

1. Excuse me, but roleplayers can fight too. Many of our WvW lovers are also roleplayers (like me).
2. I don’t think so. Most of the people were from well-known TC guilds, and I could recognize a bunch of people that I always see in WvW and even roleplaying at DR.

The RP story was that Tequatl killed the Queen’s Guard’s Wife’s second cousin. The call went out to heroes who would vanquish the beast, and bring honor to the family.

As my beloved TC was working together toward glorious victory (which, for those of you who have never played with TC, is the single best reason to join the server)…

I was stuck in a hopeless overflow server with zero cooperation, teamwork. At the end, a map chat full of “WTH, I didn’t even get anything for that!” Of course not. Didn’t even make it past the first phase.

I did sneak in an early morning attempt on TC this morning and it was pretty clear that Teq was going down sooner rather than later on the homeworld. Just wish I could have been in on the action on this attempt. I’m sure there were people guesting that were keeping me from my home server as well.

I’m just going to log out for a few days and wait until people can decide to work together before trying it again because AFKers, leechers, trolls, and faceroll specialists are taking what should be a fun event and turning it into an exercise in frustration and futility.

Frustrating as it is, most importantly, CONGRATULATIONS TO THE BEST SERVER EVER on being among the first to complete the event!

Might have something to do with the fact that on our best attempts we had atleast 20 people afk near turrets, a few people afk on turrets and half a zerg running around clueless. Despite great efforts by the people on teamspeak, seems like organizing the rabble is a herculanian task on UW.

The overflow I was in got into an arguement of ranged DPS vs Melee and used TS which half the map didn’t have or wish to download. There were people who genuinely tried but no one was working together or taking out smaller threats (fingers.. etc). It wasn’t fun, wasn’t productive, and cost me 10s.

Many of us already use mumble… it’s what we use for our WvW stuffs already anyways. Downloading 2 programs is too hard.

We usually do not act in character on map chat or during big events that can fail (like Balt), tbh.

Otherwise you would have seen him tie a rope to the end of his arrow and fire it at teq’s neck. Then proceed to perform a legolas like swing around teq mid air onto his back. Obviously – he didn’t bring the rope.
