The issue I find extremely annoying when manning a turret is that whenever tequatl moves, the target I am aiming at the spam #1’s and #2’s I keep having to reclick on tequatl constantly to be able to fire at him.

I’ve even tried calling target on him to help but still I lose target when ever he moves about and I keep having to spam the buttons T ( to recall target) and 1&2 to shoot.

I’m sure this is flawed in some way. This may possibly be hinder other turret users from having a constant stream of shots being shot.

You essentially lose target when the selected target reticule moves out of your view. With the forced close view on the turrets, that means whenever Tequatl moves up, you need to wrestle with the, “camera guy obsessed with rear anatomy” to look up – or you’ll lose the target.
Calling Targets is indeed the only semi-fix I know about. I don’t think we’ll see a rework of this, as it’s a mechanic that persists throughout Guildwars and might even affect PVP (like moving behind another player, hoping to get out of their view so they lose target).

Yeah the camera issues are the problem. It resets the camera mutliple times throughout the fight and you have to zoom out repeatedly. And also there’s a change where targetting only works if your character is facing it, which is new to this patch.

I can’t target tequatl with Ctrl+T at all.

And when on turrets, you turn when using a cleans on your own turret and that messes everything up. Same as when you get yanked off or downed.

It’s just the targeting system of the game. It relies on your sole view as a character, and also relies on the distance. The target gets capped out at a distance, hence why when on a turret, you only lose target when he moves his head back, because it creates more distance between you and him.

Other games have way better targeting systems, I’m surprised that GW2 hasn’t developed anywhere near to an efficient one, yet. However, it’s said to be it’ll be better next patch.

I am getting loss of target everywhere in the game. Targeting is broken! Autotarget or not. It will target foes in the back versus ones right next to me which is stupid. if foes go invisible I lose target also. targeting issue are making the gameplay annoying to me.
