Are the boss achievements for Tequatl a permanent thing, or will the achievements for the boss soon go away after the Tequatl story achievements are removed? Will we be able to continue the progression of the Tequatl boss achievements after the event is over with?

The boss achievements for Tequatl are permanent.

Although it seems that currently the old “That Had to Burn” achievement for firing the Megalaser at Tequatl is either broken or is no longer completable. I’ve asked for feedback from ANet on which is the case, but so far no response.

You can tell they are permanent because they are down in the Boss section instead of in the Living Story section. So if you want the wings, you need to do the LS part including several Tequatl fights (win or lose, you just have to participate for the daily). But for the title, you have all the time you need.
