Just to the north of the Tequatl battle area is NPC Kamma who sends you on a quest to test her elmental weapons. It is also, sort of, her laser apparatus that is used in the Tequatl fight. I was wondering if anyone has tried to use Kamma’s experimental weapons to advantage in the Teq fight? They are quite powerful, and would give the zerg that is DPSing Tequatl a big advantage.

I couldn’t test this today because I accidentally finished the quest and she won’t give me the weapons anymore. Has anyone else tried to use those weapons in the battle against Tequatl? Even if they were bound to a certain area on the map, you might be able to use them against minions on the west turrets.

Just an idea I haven’t been able to test yet and wanted to throw out there and see if anyone else has experimented with it. It seems like having these powerful elemental weapons available right next to the Tequatl event might not be a coincidence?

Ok, I tested this today on a friend’s account who had not completed the Kamma quest yet. To answer my question: Kamma’s experimental weapons cannot quite be used in range of Tequatl, you can almost get there but not quite. You just barely exit the quest zone and the weapons disappear. But the quest zone is within range of the western turret battery, so you could use these experimental weapons to defend the western turrets, and if you have not completed the quest yet I would recommend that! (Note: quest is completed by killing ~25 undead with the experimental weapons, so if you are using the experimental weapon to defend turret battery you will probably complete quest during the Tequatl event, after that you will not be able to acquire the experimental weapons again.)
