I’m seeing tons of posts with people doing nothing but giving excuses and reasons why “Tequatl” is too hard. OF COURSE he is too hard, that is the point of it. Not everything is gonna be handed to you on a silver platter. For once Anet is doing something that is pushing your buttons and making you work for hours on achieving something rather than just looking it up on Dulfy site and having it completed within 20min.

Timer is too short? It is supposed to be too short, you are suppose to man up and get things done right and fast or otherwise good luck next time.

He is too strong? He is supposed to be too strong, it’s a freaking DRAGON! This is how all of the dragons should be. Challenging and not easy for you to achieve just because you want your oh so loved achievement points. You want it that bad? Work for it.

Too much poison? There are multiple ways of fixing this, like killing fingers asap(organize a team that does JUST that the entire time), cure your conditions, etc. Many viable ways of beathing this.

I could go on with the lists of excuses I’m seeing but the point is…

MANY servers AND overflows are successfully beating this, and more than once. Just because you did not(neither have I so far) get in a server that has beat it yet, doesn’t make it too hard. It doesn’t mean you suck either, it just means the group needs to work together better. Sometimes we’ll get dealt crappy cards, meaning we will be in fail groups/overflows/etc. Complaining and getting it nerfed is only going to show that we can’t try for anything, rather than just complain like babies until we get what we want.

If you are having a problem, do as I am doing. Organize. Make a guild that’s sole purpose is killing this beast. Many servers have done it without using Teamspeak or other voice chats. It won’t come easy to do, but that is the point.

In the end, if you can’t handle the fact that it is going to be hard to do, just walk away then and do something else. I read someone say before(and it was pretty good), that “you don’t see me whining about SAB because I can’t get tribulation mode done”. The point is, not every event is going to be catered to you, and shouldn’t be. This one is especially hard and I love every second of it, fail or win. Failing will only make winning feel ten times better when it happens.

Stop whining and start organizing guys! I see people complaining after the first 2min. and giving up as if it’s supposed to go down as it once did. 2.0 means NOT IN YOUR FAVOR!

If a nerf happens, I will ultimately be annoyed with the community overall in how we can’t take a beating in a computer game without whining to have it nerfed.

A very long post but misplaced considering what is the main issue with new Tequatl. He is not hard by himself. Metagaming involving overflows, AFK people, trolls etc. is what is an issue. Calls for nerfs are only justified when you consider how fight should look like to account for things I mentioned above. An alternative would be to simply instance the guy and suddenly all the problems with his “difficulty” vanish. Again, Tequatl is not too hard. Enviroment in which he is placed is broken. Either move him or nerf him to account for handicaps present in the environment.

AFK can be a problem ,but that isn’t a content problem that is a community problem. People need to stop akitteng and start calling people out on it, making sure it doesnt happen as much as possible. You can’t blame the content for players staying in a server and going away from their computer.

Trolls exist in every game, every event, everything. Nothing will ever fix that, so again not a content problem. Things shouldn’t be nerfed on the behalf of trolls or afk people.

If people are afk when he spawns, that is our problem to deal with not a content problem. It shouldn’t account for our handicap. When you go to war in real life, does the enemy handicap your side because of your situation? Nope. You deal with what your dealt, and work with it.

Are you implying that he should turn into an instance? How are you gonna get mass people to join an instance/type of dungeon?

Give commanders an ability to create personal “overflows” and only people who right click on commander and select “Join” will be able to enter it. Cap the instance at 150 people and dont change the fact that you require at least 60-80 people to beat him. The fight itself will not change at all. Give commander ability to vote kick anyone. This fixes all the issues with the fight. And still anyone will be able to join an attempt (so no guild restriction). If a commander wants to muster a PUG, all he needs is to advertise it in LA or LFG tool. There are enough commanders to make this work.
