Q:
Does killing fingers drop health?
From what I’ve seen, no. I’ve never seen all the fingers down at once before, so maybe that could do something special.
The current Tequatl strategy doesn’t really look right when you base it on how the developers originally showed it off. They pointed out how the fingers were important due to the poison and the one dev was focusing on them at times. They also mentioned the importance of rezzing people due to the locked waypoint, else they would have a longer run back, and we all know that’s not going to happen.
They’re going to stream the event on a random server in about 30 minutes. Maybe they’ll shed some light on the true strategy or maybe not, and just fail completely.
- Their strategy was exactly what everyone else is doing, and they failed at ~50% remaining.

No, the best strategy is to stack and have numerous guardians put up walls of reflection so that the poison can’t hit the zerg, and the turrets can keep the stacked area cleansed as well. This way you don’t waste precious dps killing fingers.
The more people you can have on teq (assuming you have enough to keep turrets up 100% of the time) the better your chances are.
also with killing the fingers.. it reduces how much poison is spewed around. so although its not necessary it does help out if a couple of small groups take them out so that the turrets can focus on helping out the group taking out tequila.

The only time Underworld started being successful was when we assigned a roaming commander team whose job is to kill fingers. Guardians just can’t block everything at all times and we figured out that we lose less DPS with less poison.

Wall of reflection has multiple disadvantages, Avenger Shield is much better. It’s mobile, covers about the same range and destorys the projectile giving much more room to move around.
Not to mention you just pop it and go, with wall it can be misplaced which is a death sentance sometimes.
2 maybe 3 people clearing fingers around the zerg really helps with the cleansing keeping the zerg DPS up cause of fewer downed people. Having 2-3 people stay behind and clear the fingers out of the water while the otherd protect the batteries ensure then the following DPS stage won’t get hindered by them. Turret guards should always clear fingers before the adds.
