I feel the same. It feels unrewarding to even attempt to lead it. You will have people running around like headless chickens no matter what, because you will never have a consistent group to try stuff out. It is inevitable you will have players new to the event all the time so full mastery will never happen.
The sacrifice in time and effort just is not worth it because of that to try to organize a proper attempt. It is exhausting to go over a plan from scratch each single attempt and have new players join the fight and have the fight eventually devolve in a mindless attempt. It wouldn’t be so much a problem without the timer, but with it it just isn’t worth it. Failure is inevitable. You cannot carry the scrubs through the event.
I gave it an honest effort. we organized, planned, split into groups, got good players into turrets.
We gave it everything we had and only got to 60% after 4 tries. 3 hours of playing and I have a total of -5s to show for it.
I am done with this event until it is either nerfed or moved to an instance where we can get rid of the hordes in blues.
My servr as well. We did about 5 tries. Crystal desert here. 69 percent was the lowest we got. 68-69. I was even able to get 50 people in ts. Its just a fight that wasnt tested before hand.
And here we’re seeing the bottom of the slippery slope we all warned the developers about when they first gave in to the “REWARDS!” crowd. Spoonfeeding players easily obtained rewards conditions them to expect rewards for everything…and for minimal effort. It no longer matters (to some) if content if fun, or challenging…only if it’s rewarding and easy.
Yeah I sat there for 10 minutes waiting for it to spawn , spent 15 trying to kill the thing and got NOTHING in return, I would have been more rewarded killing cows in the paddock in queensdale.
And I don’t expect easy rewards , but sheeeeeshhhhh this was a real downer, Not going back there in a hurry,
The honest majority believe this update is absolute crap. I’ve even seen people talking about how they can’t wait till TESO is available. Not me though, I don’t care for ES very much, but still not a good sign to see. A challenge is good, but this is just ridiculous… It’s not a challenge to be one shotted, spammed with multiple skills with no recharge, and have no way to defend yourself. Whether it’s this, Orr, or Aetherblade stuns it’s the same story. I don’t play zerker because it’s impossible in this game. My main build is very high in toughness and has 18.5k hp.

Tried to get there- got disconnected. Relog, DC again. Relog…. and DC with network error. So I didn’t even get to try the encounter. I WANT to try it, but it’s so freaking frustrating to DC so many times. I’m staying away until the disconnect issue is resolved. And it’s BEEN happening at Teq, apparently, before the update. I was DC’d on the 15th and 16th at Teq, and here it’s Spet. 17, and I’m thinking the issue is resolved. Nope. And it doesn’t happen to me anywhere else in the game. Not sure if it had anything to do with the chat issue.
Give it one week, or maybe more. One day is way to early to even ask for a nerf. No, 5 tries is not enough, this is in fact way too low for a top tier difficulty boss. Maybe at 50-75+ tries like in every god kitten heroic rain in every traditional mmo, we’ll talk. This is just being impatient with a mentality of a 12 years old giving up after one try for x or y reason. Get over it, and try again.
oh my mistake… I didn’t realize I had to play this game as a job and be frustrated and annoyed to win. Here I was playing it for fun… silly me… Guess only 12 year olds are allowed to have fun

Or simply, can’t get everything you want first try, so you’re just going to make some dirty ultimatum: “I quit if it’s not getting nerfed, guild wars 2 is not a job” and so on. I can do the content just fine. unfortunately 79 other whiny people like you in blues make it just stupid and unfun.

Mmmm all the tit for tat aside, its common sense really and personal preference, Why would you spend hours doing something that atm you only have a slight chance in succeeding , and if you did happen to succeed you had a rare change of being amply rewarded for your efforts when you could easily go bop 5 champs on the head in Frostgorge in 5 minutes and be very well compensated for your input?
There is no way I would spend time and effort trying to sell an over priced property in the hopes of netting that large commission , when I can move 4 smaller properties with little effort for the same if not more (accumulative) reward.
Yes its a game, but same principles apply , well to me they do.

Same here, it’s nearly impossible unless you get extremely organised which is impossible on Seafarer’s Rest at the moment due to the mass transfers by baddies for the upcoming league.
I was extremely excited for weeks since the livestream, it got killed in the first minute of the event when I saw the hp barely dropping with 100+ people hitting it.
4 tries and still stuck at 2/10 achievements because we can’t get past 85%.
Once everyone has their achievements, events like these will die off, you get a green per 25% and maybe a small chance at a new skin at the end. I don’t think many will attempt it hundreds of times to get one skin, especially since the entire map depends on 6 people.
Hopefully this was the first and last revamp of the world bosses.
