I’m sure Arena didn’t intend for all servers to crowd into a few major server to complete this event. But the way it’s design, the players from mid-to-low servers don’t have a choice but to do so. Now we have all this overflow problems. The solution is to scale the event properly so that it’s not easier but possible to complete this event with 40 minimum players. And the simpliest way to do so is extend the time required base on number of players present. So 40-50 players, give them 30 minutes timer. 60-70 will have 25 minutes. 70-80 will get 20 minutes. 80+ 15 minutes as normal. These are just rough estimates, you can adjust them accordingly.

I was with a smaller zerg group this morning and we managed to get Teq to 50%, had the timer be adjusted to our population size, we would come close to defeating him, instead of seeing it as insurmountable task.

I agree with scaling the event down to a more reasonable number so that overflows and smaller servers have a shot at doing him. The huge servers will still get their one hundred man plus epic raids only they won’t have to deal with a bunch of guests stealing all the slots. Everybody gets to have fun and everybody wins or at least gets a fair shot at winning. Surely nobody can object to this reasonable suggestion.

The problem is that what would happen is you’d have, say 59 players, and then say 5 more people join. If you don’t scale the time when more people come in then people would just leave until the event started, then flood in and easily beat it. If you did scale it immediately though, you’d have people getting mad at people for joining the fight, and that’s not fun for anybody.

Your suggestion might kinda work for scaling instanced content, but if it was instanced then your suggestion wouldn’t really be needed.

Cool to share your ideas though! Thanks!

Good feedback. A solution is when the event is announced, players has 3 minutes window to get in to the action. Once Teq shows up and the fight begins, the event is locked and the timer will be adjusted to number of players present. Other players trying to get in after the fight has already started will be thrown into an overflow with a new event that will start soon. This will be similar to how the Scarlett’s events worked.

Nope that wouldn’t work, it needs to scale based on the boss/spawn’s power.
