Hi!

So far I’m proud to have been part of all 3 kills for teq on SBI server (GO SBI!).

And every single time I’ve been very careful and meticulous about getting a separate vigil battery for every 25% phase of teq all my friends got the achievement except me, this is my last achievement for the meta. I’m really annoyed and confused can someone help me out here? Do I need to defend the laser too?? Otherwise I’ve been defending the batteries in the same sequence as everyone else and have been getting gold in the defense event but no achievement :/.

Just to be clear I’m not ranting as much as I’m just looking for advice from people who got it on what I could’ve missed/overlooked.

You need to defend each of the turrets at DIFFERENT batteries phases. So do east on phase 1, north 2, and west 3.

No you don’t. You have to kill an enemy close to each battery. I did 2 batteries per phase and even the megalaser to make sure.

i did it that way and didn’t get credit 3 straight kills so it must be a bit buggy

yes I did a different battery on each phase :/ but I didn’t get it on megalaser seems to be buggy. My buddy was with me doing the same thing but he got it.

The best way, to be sure is to go to each battery(note NOT the laser) at each phase and stay close to it.

You know you’ve done enough when you get the event reward pop up after the event.

A good tip is to remember where the batteries are before the event starts and use a speed buff. If you get sucked under it’s easy to get disorientated so learn the map first.

I’m having the same problem. On our first server kill I split my time between 2 different batteries each time— getting 2 medals each time. I did not get achievement.

On our second kill I went to West-only at 75%, East-only at 50% and North-only at 25%. Was sure to kill mobs near every battery. I got a medals but no achievement.

I watched a video of our first kill. The person recording it hopped around to multiple batteries each time, and didn’t spend much time at any particular one. He got achievement. I’m baffled.

It’s the only achievement I have left for title and we are having trouble killing him again. I want to make sure I’m doing it right. Need advice.

The achievements are just a bit buggy unfortunately.

Best way is as other people said it. Go to a different battery for each phase, and stay there and kill for the duration of the defense event.

Same problem. First time I went to all 3, got medals, killed Teq, no achievement. Second time I went to West 75%, East 50%, North 25% and got 3 gold medals, killed Teq, no achievement. Gonna try again by standing near the batteries, and attacking mobs that are on top or as close to the battery as I can and hopefully it will work.

Finally, got Power Play and Sunbringer title and I don’t know what I did different. All I can advise others to do is to continue choosing 1 for each phase and staying there the whole time.

I tried to stay close to battery as I could, and hit as many mobs as I could, and hit the loot button if it appeared. I went West at 75%, East at 50% and North at 25% (though I doubt that makes a difference) and I didn’t go to Megalaser at all.

Just got powerplay.

Here is what I did. For every phase go to a seperate battery and defend it to the very end of the timer. I did west for 75%, then north for 50% and east for 25%.

Make sure you stay till the end of the timer and you should get it.

Strange, I got mine from one battery phase, killing a mob (not just tagging) at each battery station (within the orange circles on the map). After that, I went back to my job of defending the turrets in the south from mobs and DPS’d Teq when it was near death.

Also from SBI.

Killed Tequatl twice in a row last night on Piken Square (EU) and made sure I got kills at each battery every defense phase both times. Didn’t get the achievement. I’m pretty sure I got at least bronze reward at every battery. Also went to do some dmg on mobs near the laser itself just to be sure. It didn’t work for me. It seems to me the achievement is a bit buggy but no surprise here… I got several of the other Teq achievements (defeat Teq without any Hylek turrets getting destroyed in the same encounter for instance) without ever beating Teq. Also, the descriptions of the various Teq achievements seem to have been written by interns or dev’s kids or something. They are completely off or unclear.

Yeah I got mine from killing 1 mob at each battery and then beating Tequatl.

I promise you all you have to do is kill one mob inside the orange circle and then kill teq. The way I did it is i ran to each battery early in the phase and killed a mob then went to whatever battery needed help the most. You do not need to defend a battery in each phase nor do you need to kill at megalaser.

Yea i got mine last night. I started at East. Killed some. Next event i went to North. Killed some. Last event i went to West. Killed some.

Checked after beating Tequatl and i had the power play.

This achievement really ought to be removed as a requirement for the meta. I’m having the same problem; fought at all beacons and killed something at the laser for good measure, no credit even though the person running with me did get it (and she was lagging like mad!)

Having a time-sensitive meta-achievement rely on a) getting out of the bloody overflow to get a decent chance at a successful kill, and b) praying the game doesn’t bug out when you do exactly what it asks for is pretty stupid.

Do keep it in for the completionists. Don’t screw people out of something like a title with bugs.
