Guild Wars 2

Does anyone know how the overflows work exactly? I have been trying for hours to get into the main map, and every time the queue pops, i just get bounced to another overflow. 10 times in a row now, am I getting closer to the main map or not?

I believe the overflow system works in a way where the home players get priority to join the main maps. Would I be right in guessing you guested onto another server? hence why you are just moving from one overflow to another.
