How many servers have taken down Teq?
Unless a big team guested on Whitside Ridge, i can 100% confirm you that our server has not yet defeated tequatl.
I think the best they got on this server is arround 70% down.
I think GoM got him down last night, but I wasn’t part of the group. It’s just what I’ve heard.
According to this thread: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/livingworld/tequatl/Servers-that-have-beaten-Tequatl-add-yours/page/2 (possibly outdated, I went trough it adding servers to the list)
this is the list of servers that have beaten it so far:
NA
Blackgate
Tarnished Coast
Eredon Terrace
Sanctum of Rall
Jade Quarry
Stormbluff Isle
Darkhaven
Yak’s Bend
Gate of Madness
Crystal Desert
Fort Aspenwood
Dragonbrand
Ehmry Bay
EU
Aurora Glade
Desolation
Vabbi
Elona Reach
Seafarer’s Rest
Piken Square
Fissure of Woe
Gunnar’s Hold
Riverside
Gandara
Seafarer’s Rest
Far Shiverpeaks
Underworld
Baruch Bay (ES)
Vizunah Square (FR)
Augury Rock (FR)
Abaddon’s Mouth (DE)
Plus a few multi servers overflows.
wrapped up in some crazy ritualist hoo-ha from Cantha.
A real grab bag of ‘you can’t hurt me. They’re called Guardians.
So ~30ish out of 51?
Servers don’t defeat Teq, players do.
Ya, about half of the servers have taken him down. Most of them multiple times.
According to everything I have read he has been killed about 100 times. Too bad there have been around 7000 attempts…..
6 (Days) x 12 (Spawns a day) x 102 Servers (Regular + Overflow) = 7344 Attempts
Would be nice if Anet would actually post the real numbers though, but I doubt that will happen anytime soon as it would show how badly they planned this event.

jesus, did you really need to type that out?
why troll just to troll?
Well he actually has a point, alot of the defeats were done by Guilds guesting over to other servers. Guesting really defeats the purpose of asking which server has killed him. The Vabbi defeat was done by the guild TKS guesting over and running the event.

Oh man. Okay let me be 100% clear for those people who are trying to find holes in a simple question:
Since the release of the Tequatl Rising patch, on how many servers (including all of their overflows) has Tequatl been defeated?
You all know what I meant.

Overflows is harder to know, since they’re multi server. At least I know I joined one overflow that had killed him before (several people were still there for the next attempt, I don’t know how it went, had to leave before it happened) and had people from at least 4 different servers on it.

Actually I did, and here’s why. How many positive thread’s about defeating Teq are [SERVER BEATS TEQ], chest thumping like everyone on the server had a hand in it.
Instead of using the number of servers where Teq was beaten as your metric, why not ask Anet to provide the ratio of the number of players who’ve successfully beaten Teq to the number that have tried but never beaten Teq.
I only have to overcome three things to beat Teq.
1. I get on an instance where there aren’t many AFK players AND the map is organized and ready to beat Teq.
2. My computer doesn’t DC in the middle of the fight.
3. I get to do #1 and #2 before the number of people that want to try diminishes to the point where it becomes unbeatable.

Attempt =/= Spawn but nice try nonetheless
“You can’t have more than 10 HS decks because that would confuse people”
“30 fps is more cinematic”
Attempt =/= Spawn but nice try nonetheless
There are actually more overflows than that, I was being conservative. Any overflow created within 10 min of the event will have a spawn. And for as long as this event has been on, people have been flocking into sparkfly, and every spawn has had an attempt so far.
Therefore Spawn = Attempts!
I have even heard of people trying to fight with 30 people in some overflows. That still equals an attempt, even though it is a poor one.
Maybe look into how the system works before you spout criticism.

This is linked to the API, note that it does not include overflow kills.
According to that there have been 199 kills across 32 servers.
200 wins out of 7000 attempts is still very low.

while you make a good point about the metric you’re requesting, it was neither what I asked for nor what I wanted. I just simply wanted to know how many servers have had a successful teq slaying (regardless of which servers PLAYERS actually took him down)
that said, I hear ya, and understand now where your’e coming from.
