Every single time I port to sparkfly fens on the dot, I get placed in some overflow with no chance to win at all.

I have to rely on luck or camp at the map for hours now to get a shot?

You’re never going to get in unless you have somebody on the other side. People are currently abusing join to skip the queue.

Pretty much the same. You can sit in an overflow for hours and still not get into the main. The reason is that people in the main server are pulling people in, bypassing the que. I have yet to be on the main server to do this. Not even going to try now, except for the daily.

Yeah, join needs to be disabled until a more permanent solution can be patched in. It’s absolutely ridiculous that somebody can sit there waiting for seven hours straight for his home instance to pop while somebody with a buddy in the instance can go right away even if he’s guesting on the server. Disgusting.

Worse yet, they effectively steal the slot. I’m sure everybody has experienced the join window popping and accepting only to be booted back into overflow. Yep, that was a joiner pushing ahead of you.

Well I think I won’t have a chance to clear my achievements then. Oh well.

I can only say this event is not fun for me.

I went to the main map in off-hours, but you need a lot of time for that. This is one of the reasons why people are complaining about this fight. I just finished the fight with an organized and active group of people and it was A LOT of fun.

But when you are stuck in an overflow or stuck with a bunch of people that are away from keyboard in the map or not willing to participate fully, you are just all out of luck. The encounter itself is good if you are organized, but it’s a frustrating experience for a lot of people because of the overflows and legions of AFK’ers/leechers.

Only advice I can give is :

1. Try and join in off-hours.
2. Try to get some one who is already there in your party
3. If there are enough people in your overflow, you can always try to organize it (chances are slim though)

I feel you. Best advice I can give is to just go do something else until the guest swarm has moved on. Unless you’re willing to pay gold for a slot, which I’ve observed some people doing, you’re not getting in. AFK campers are in there 24/7.

A few possible steps:

- Get on your servers VoiP and get into the main instances channel.
- Ask for an invite in one of the parties. Then right-click and join ‘friend in instance’ (or whatever it says).
- Combine this with going to Mount Maelstrom and running through the portal to Sparkfly Fen while in a group with someone from the main instance.

Note:

You need time. There are still fails happening, but if you get on an organised server it should be a kill every 2 tries (depends on who’s commanding).

Try and get into the main instance when the event has just finished. This is your best chance. Then you just have to wait. But you’re time should be pretty filled with following instructions and the like. Just hang out in VoiP and have fun.
