Is Tequatl a test of raid dungeon?
I think it’s a test as to just how hard the other dragon bosses should be tuned.

So hopefully Wildstar/ EQnext comes out soon? I am definitely not staying if everything becomes this, a clusterkitten for 2 weeks and then a ghost town when event is over.
50/50 GWAMM x3
I quit how I want
No. ArenaNet has specified that they do NOT want raid dungeons or content multiple times. 5 man dungeons are what we’re stuck with. Raid content is saved for World Bosses, and is much more entertaining anyways.

….and how many of arenanet’s original statements are still accurate?
Raven, it was stated from the beginning that world bosses would be Guild Wars 2’s version of raid content (I like how you said that Anet said they won’t do raid content, because raid content is world bosses :P).
That “raid” content was to be always and solely in open world. It just wasn’t properly balanced for good raid content since Anet had no basis to go off of other than internal testing and convention demos (which are not only with brand new experiences, but limited in number of people). Now they have a basis for player capabilities, they’re putting it to the test with Tequatl.
Expect The Shatterer, Claw of Jormag, temples (?), Megadestroyer, Karka Queen, Ulgoth, and other mid-and-high level zone bosses to be made like this.
Shadow Behemoth and other low-level world bosses will likely remain easier, as an introduction into it. I expect Claw of Jormag and Karka Queen to be the toughest open world bosses in the game until we get a new permanent zone (there isn’t any “world boss” level foe in Cursed Shore or Malchor’s Leap that isn’t tied to a dungeon or temple to really dictate becoming wtf hard like Tequatl).
TL;DR
Tequatl is raid content. All raid content will be open world. World Bosses will be Tequatl-like in the future (how long into the future? Anyone’s guess atm). Don’t expect any form of instance to go beyond 5 players.
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.

Just like how they didn’t want a gear grind, right?
While I can’t see into the future it wouldn’t surprise me if they went down this path. They’ve sold out on just about every single promise.
If there is something to let guilds to work together at the same time, it’s a different story no matter in wvw and living world events or other kind of world scenarios.
Anet has to find out this magic.

They said this recently in an Interview with Matt Visual. Colin Johanson to be exact. ArenaNet wants their game to be open world, not stuck in dungeons. This isn’t set up for future 25 man dungeons. It’s set up for future world bosses and current re-vamps.
No. Open world bosses has always been for GW2.
Is Tequatl a test of raid dungeon or activities in order to collect data of raid groups and bosses?
Colin Johanson pretty much said they wouldn’t be adding anything bigger than 5-man instances.
It’s another experiment in what they can do with large scale open world PvE. It’s also pseudo raid like content (without the rewards, because ascended has to be time gated otherwise players would think the gameplay itself isn’t fun enough to stick around).
Personally I don’t like my success or failure being dependant on the actions of 100 people I can’t choose.

Eh, I don’t think Teq is a good reason to quit. Hopefully they are seeing the problems and intend to fix them. I honestly think that they are onto something with Teq, but a few things need to be tweaked for it to be a better experience. I needs to be challenging, but a few things have to be tweaked. Yeh I got my title due to the luck of being one of the servers that does pretty good at Teq, but I don’t think my achievements should so squarely be in the hands of others.
Meh, wildstar looks cartooni and lame. I could never play a game that looks like that for a significant amount of time. EQ I might try because everything about it looks very nice. Blizzard finally got rid of the real money auction house, so Diablo 3 is worth taking a look at now if you get into Diablo games.
