Guild Wars 2

So, I was waiting on a sparkfly overflow for a good three hours just now, assuming I was in line for a place in my actual server (TC), and hoping I could get in to have a real shot at Teq (overflow wasn’t doing so hot). Then someone says in guild chat…“Oh, great, I got on the main TC server”.

My guild mate was guesting over from CD, and had not been waiting in an overflow. They literally just guested over, walked in to the zone, and got in. I have to admit to being slightly annoyed by this.

Is the queue system a lie? How would people just entering the zone get priority over someone who has been waiting for hours? Didn’t someone from ANET say server natives get priority over guests in the situation of waiting in line?

Am I missing something?

I just got kicked from my overflow after waiting 1.25 HOURS.
Was a commander…got everyone prepped…then DC and can’t get back

So fraking kitten ed atm.

My server’s dead, so I guest around in the overflows. I’ve never just walked into a big server, in fact, I get the prompt to go into the server and it sends me to another overflow. I assumed I was being passed over due to natives, which doesn’t matter to me since I’ve just been looking for the overflow where everyone was fighting well.

Correction, almost never do well. There’s a topic floating around with pics of an overflow succeeding.

yep was stuck in overflow for over an hour, then a friend invited me to her party and i was finally able to join my server. meanwhile there was 1 tequatl event in the overflow and we didnt have enough to beat him and all i hear after is people cussing others out and calling everyone noobs and stuff…..

The amount of time that I was sent to Overflow was depressing. There were times I manage to get to my server but I got kick to overflow while I was merching and crafting stuff in the Hylek Village.
