It is the only way to ensure that everyone on the map is in teamspeak with you and not afk/leeching. Most guilds dedicated to killing tequatl use overflows for this reason.
We also guest to low pop servers like Maguuma and Anvil Rock to try to beat him there.
So do not remove guesting or overflows.

Having to do this content by being in a specific guild for the sole purpose of killing teq, having to guest to low pop servers and specific overflows shows how broken the encounter is in regards to open world.

I disagree. At no point was I in a specific guild to defeat teq. When we get 100+ people on the community teamspeak to get organized, we want to make sure that everyone is following directions, that the right people are on the cannons, defending cannons and killing fingers, that warbanners are used when called for and reflections are up when needed. You can type in map chat in all caps as much as you want, people don’t listen.
Guesting into low pop servers also helps those people beat teq when they probably wouldn’t have otherwise been able to.

What it needs is the room for the organised group to do it, while being supported by those that aren’t involved. I personally just want to see my fellow GW2 players beat Tequatl for the experience, hence why I get myself so involved in Overflow kills, and for the first time tonight, a server community overflow attempt.

I have no issue in carrying those players who are not accustomed to the level of organisation Teqqy remands, they have as much right to see the content through as I do. But right now those players are a hindrance, as there simply isn’t room for them if you want to down him first go. You have to populate your own overflow.

What I’m hoping is that the tactics for killing Teqqy will become natural to those I teach and command, so they can go back to their servers and spread it. Therefore we won’t need to find an overflow anymore, everyone will know what to do, and when. It’s a pipe dream for sure, there’s always going to be trolls and AFKers – but a girl can dream.

We’ll see how my server learns over the next few days
