My point exactly. A forum post, a twitter post, a facebook post, I don’t care. This big of a problem/change, I expect to hear some news about it.
I must agree. This is poor service. Having thousands of people sitting in a zone for hours with no answer is unacceptable.
Doing this close to another games release is a mistake imo. I’ve played the other game (recently released) It’s a decent game so far. I/We may be playing it more often after wasting an entire evening on a Teq main.

Quite so, several thousands of man-hours wasted, and still no word. I would have to think that either somebody isn’t doing their job, or that the relevant community liaison simply doesn’t exist.

I take it this is your first time trying to get any response from Anet. They have always sucked at communication, Always!
Tequatl Rising has had the least amount of dev responses by far, with only 3 topics actually getting a response and that was in the first 3 days, it doesn’t really surprise me they haven’t commented on this issue either

You’re telling me that every single one of their employees work the same hours and/or all break at the same time? Unlikely, but if so, my post is still valid that it’s very poor customer service and, if no one is monitoring the game/comments at this time, a very bad and stupid mistake.

Just checking here, what planet are you guys on that only a day shift exists? The vast majority of companies now, gaming ones especially, have round-the-clock staff to troubleshoot and do support. Putting everyone on a daylight shift would essentially promise a vastly ineffective experience.

Well, as you yourself implied, not all employees will be home. Is it not flawed logic that just because not all of them know about it we should not expect a response from the few that do?
All self-respecting MMO companies that I have seen keep a handful of people on night shifts in case something like this occurs. Perhaps not developers, but certainly customer service/community reps/GMs.

But instead of using the event assistant. Some of you are joining huge guilds so you can wait 2 kill Tequatl in another server. Instead of doing some events or farming while waiting.
Mabe kicking AFK players after 10 min is the answer?

Just an FYI, the Tequatl messages went away as soon as you completed the meta for the Boss Week category. So that visual hasn’t been there for a large number of players, myself included, for a week or more.
Let’s be honest. If you had a few hours to wait around for Tequatl, you probably didn’t have anything else to do. Waste your time on GW2 complaining or waste your time on some other random social network.
I don’t know why Anet hasn’t responded, maybe they are all busy prepping for the new content patch, maybe they’re watching people complain and laughing their kitten s off or maybe they are all at home enjoying some other game. Chances are if this was another game company you would still get the same, no response. I haven’t played a game out there where customer service and expedient messages for every issue is the norm.

Well people have been forced to wait because otherwise they’ll be put into overflow. Just one of the many problems with this event.

Your first point is that we chose to do one thing, so there is nothing else we could have used that time for.
Your second point is an implication that because other games you have experienced have a similar disregard for their consumer base, we should resign ourselves to be subjected to such behavior.
I would hope that the fallacies in these two arguments should be self-evident to you upon a second reading, so I will say no more.
