Risk vs Reward [Challenging Content.]
Really i already killed taco twice and i only saw 1 person get an ascended drop(and it wasn’t the unique skin one).
It must have been already said here but ANET should realy put a token option for this.
However to get the npc that you can trade the tokens to should spawn only if taco is defeated at that server(or overflow) much like the temple events. And also the tokens should be a daily reward(kinda like the pristine fractal relics) BUT unlike the relics you can get only 1 token as a daily reward for beating taco that day(unlike relics which can get more then 1 a day depanding on fractals lvl).
That way the event will be consistent with other similar events such as the temples(only a lot more fun XD) and will give people the incentive to keep doing it after all its hype is over.
The only problem about this is figuring out how many tokens you need for a weapon
I just beat Tequatl for my first time. The fight itself was epic and i really enjoyed it, but the rewards where really bad. I only got one rare. That doesn’t seem like it was worth the 60 min I put into it. A guaranteed exotic for beating him seems like a great improvement.
Even though the fight was amazing, I’m not sure if people will keep coming back after the event is over if the rewards aren’t revamped

I explained why there are people who don’t understand the concepts. It’s because there are those who are new and need to learn new things.
I agree with OP that the rewards need to warrant such a difficult challenge or else players will not attempt it again, much like other difficult content. I think a worthy reward for killing him is 3 gold, a guaranteed exotic item, several t6 mats, and 3 bonus chest, and 1% chance at Ascended gear and 5% chance at Teq skins drop.
I dont know why people hate ascended crafting. If you dont like it you can play with exotic, wait for a drop or build a legendary.
There are some people who don’t want to earn things with effort. They’d rather it just be given to them. We call this “Entitlement”. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, as it’s human nature to want stuff. But in religious circles, Greed is one of the Seven Deadly Sins.
And there are some people that do not understand that for lot of people game is not a sport competition, but a pasttime entertainment. And that most people do not expect to pay for the “privilege” to work. Which is what a tiny minority of players apparently expect from all others.

Nobody will do this after the update is over less they go to black-gate or something.
They will have to nerf it by at-least 50-75%.

ANet will not nerf this event, nor will they buff the rewards. It will still be in game for the guilds/servers that will do it — however many that may or may not be.
