Ended up being too long for the forum to handle, so I wrote it up in Google Docs.

The basic idea is that the other events in the area (escorting quaggans, clearing the tunnel of Risen, defending the lab from krait) would have an impact on the Tequatl fight. The unfortunate thing is that this sort of thing would be very difficult to balance- ideally, it would be a cool addition that makes the fight a bit more breathable for small groups who are coordinated but simply lack numbers, but doesn’t trivialize the fight by making it possible for groups with no coordination to simply zerg Tequatl. In essence, completing the events would play off coordination rather than replace it- it should be possible to defeat Tequatl without the events, and very possible to fail with the events.

Hard to implement, yes, but if someone can figure out how to do this, either for Tequatl or future, similar events, I feel it would be a cool addition.
