My guild & I were discussing the Tequatl raid and while most of us enjoy the fight there is one thing we all seem to agree on. Relying on six random people not to fail you isn’t fun. However one of my guildmates made an offhand remark that I believe is actually a really good suggestion.

Remove the turrets and replace them with weapons like in Jormag. Have the weapons have the same functionality as what the turrets have now although the cooldowns might have to be adjusted with the knowledge that there will be more than six.

As for the existing achievements involving the turrets I would suggest replacing them & grandfather those who have completed them. I believe this would go a long way in keeping the fight challenging, enjoyable, and it removes the most glaring flaw to this encounter.

I was actually just talking to some friends of mine about this very same idea. Our server by the looks of it simply can’t kill teq because too many people die in the dps zerg because of the poison or because bone walls pop up. Having only 6 people basically control the outcome of the whole event is kinda stupid in open world content(in raid instanced content sure makes sense) but open world is very bad because you’re relying on randoms, unless you have some very dedicated people who will camp the turrets which I see is very inconvenient.
