Q:
Revamps for Claw of Jormag and Shatter?
They already said they plan to rework all major dragons

The page says the world bosses were “updated” to be “more challenging and fun” however it does not describe them as being revamped in the same manner as Tequatl. Based on that, I would expect the other world bosses have boosted HP/damage/scaling/etc but not major changes to the mechanics of their fights.
I expect they’ll do more significant changes to the other bosses at a later time, probably one-by-one in separate patches.
All Shatterer really needs is some sort of aura around him whenever you stand to the sides of him like Claw of Jormag has. Then add some mechanic to the cannons and tweak a little, and tada! He’s fixed.
Truly, all they gotta do is fix so that standing on Shatterer’s sides will be more an risk than actually standing infront of him. Shatterer has a lot of cool spells and such. Look at the demo video when people first fight Shatterer and no one knew you could stand on the side. It was chaotic and looked fun.
Tequatl is the only boss with an overhaul.
The rest got updates – presumably Claw and Shatterer too since even the Megadestroyer got it.
I’d expect that the other world bosses – not just the Claw and Shatterer – will get overhaul updates in the long run. I do believe they said that there will be more such overhauls in the future.
The safe spots on bosses I expect to be removed/fixed in this update, perhaps with other alterations (like the Svanir Shaman in Frozen Maw meta starting at 75% health). But in the future they’ll likely get complete overhauls.
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.
Taquito (my friends nickname for him) is going to be amazing
I popularized the name “Tequila” on my server, it has more letters in common :P

I hope someday the Megadestroyer is replaced by a dragon champion of primordious emerging from that lava pool. That would be great. Fighting an oversized destroyer troll isn’t so interesting, and as he doesn’t have associated achievements, he can be replaced by something better from the same army.
I hope they have wings for the other two dragons as well. My warrior has an icy dragon theme, so Claw of Jormag wings would be fantastic
From what I recall from the dev video / livestream they would like to do the other dragons as in-depth as tequatl.

as an idea for a solution to the players just standing on the sides of the shatterer: well perhaps some sort of condition happens to people standing there; where his wings shed some condition of their own which will cause people who stand there slower recharge rates on their skills and it will stack until you get out of there.
Rather get all our instanced content reworked before they rework any of the open world stuff.
hard enough to make them cry, not just rivers but oceans."
While the Shatterer might get a revamp on a few mechanics, as well as an extension of health, don’t expect as much for the Claws of Jormag. That one is already a lengthened fight with multiple phases, mob spawn additions, and unique enough mechanics with the bomb-carrying golems.
I’m still expecting a claw of jormag change.
His fight is slightly more complex than we currently have for the other dragons sure, but he still has no failing event and it’s still a matter of standing there and spamming 1 to win.
Personally, I think Jormag is near perfect. Since we can’t hit him constantly, there’s no reason for him to be a bag of hit points so cutting his health by a third would stop the fight from being a slog. Another option would be to give the bazookas some serious damage. My PVT-stat elementalist can do more damage than 10 people using bazookas and that’s just silly. His ice field is great for zoning but needs some indication to tell players where it starts. If the enemies he spawns don’t drop anything, they don’t need to be there. That’s not adding to the challenge. They’re just in the way.
