Because we have a very high population of stubborn individuals with kittenty builds that they don’t want to learn and change or even just try. Every fight I’ve tried on SoS had about 15-20 AFK by the turrets, another 10-15 dead unwilling to WP and run back and a couple of idiots on turrets spamming buffs and heals on themselves.

Most people are just turning up for the Here Be Dragons achievement. You don’t have to win or even try to get this one as it does not require a boss kill. Hopefully once boss week is over the only people attending the event are the ones actually interested in doing well.

I feel you SoS, its the same on dragonbrand. We’ve had 2 kills and they’ve both been by roving huge guilds and once offs. The guild that beat it for us yesterday did it on Devonas this morning. If you’re lucky like I was you’ll be in the map when they suddenly rock up because they can fit all their guildies in.
The best we’ve done is 50% and its usually because we just can’t get the dps.

Still no kills. Plus progressing backwards. Teq still had 95% health when timer went off last time on the main server.

OT, but it wasn’t one guild on DB. That was a collection of a few large guilds and many small guilds that decided to band together until we got it done (and we’re still running it daily, albeit on overflows sometimes when there’s too many afk’ers or non-TS people).

I’m sorry SoS is struggling so much. I hope y’all are able to find some guilds that are willing to work through it, and keep at it until it happens! (Side note, as you find guilds that want to work at it, try to get everyone to watch videos of other servers’ successes… especially when you can hear their TS because you can really learn a LOT about all of the background strategy that’s going on)

Im from EBay! I simply got tired of people blaming each other for the fail of the teq event. Its starts with one, but end with you all. We did it with the pugs and guilds from all over. If anything SoS: try to start out small getting people you know together first.

You are well aware of TS (teamspeak) it helps. No matter what anybody says, get it it makes communication easy. Take time to learn from your mistakes. We didnt beat him in a day like BG, but all servers are different. take your time.

Practice the event till you get a feel for what needs to be done. As for your commander have someone who is just as dedicated in WvW there, so you guys know they wont leave… We’ve had the same commander (and myself) there since day 1 of the event. He hasnt left us and doesn’t plan on leaving us.

If i am saying what anyone has mentioned before, i apoligize, push come to shove join us in EBay SoS the experience will be worth it

I got on yesterday afternoon and there was 6 people in Sparkfly. I’m not going to waste my time to try a rally a server that clearly doesn’t not want to do the content. I guested to SBI and squatted their map (for which I thank them immensely) for 4.5 hours until we got a kill. I’ve had my fill of Teq. 5 days of nothing but camping Sparkfly just to fail over and over again is not something I want to repeat. I see some people banding together from different servers to form Teq killing guilds. I’ll probably join one of those once the hype dies down and all the lazies looking for a free ride move to other content.
