I’ve been wanting a dragon buff since I first fought the things. I mean hell, the Shatterer can be defeated just by moving around to its side. Jormag takes some time, but eventually falls to auto-attacks, and can be quite boring during the first phase if you simply stand on the cliff.

A lot of people might not want to hear this, but the Dragons should be the hardest events in the game, and the easiest to fail. I should not be able to carry on a conversation with guildies while fighting a beast that covers the screen. They should be buffed up to the point of Balthazar, maybe even harder. Of course, the rewards should be a lot better if they get this hard, but by all means, they shouldn’t be farmable. People just sit and wait for these things to come up, and they don’t have to worry about maybe failing, instead they worry about what part of the window it will spawn at. When people want to clear Balth, they grab all the people they can to try and complete the event. Sometimes multiple guilds will go in and fail. I’m on Kaineng, and last time we beat it, it took a near server-wide movement. That’s about how it should be for the dragons. It should be HARD. This buff is a step in the right direction to make end-game PVE challenging, and I’m glad to hear that they’re planning buffs for the other dragons.

Personally, I can’t wait to fight the friggin’ thing.

Five gods* Kormer doesn’t count because she took what wasn’t hers. Lore wise I believe the Shadow Behemoth would clean the floor with these whelps. That aside, I’m happy as well that they finally decide to revamp world bosses.

However, The Shatterer, to me is something that they should have chosen to revamp first. Compare him to undead bubbles, the overall fight is a complete joke. The only people that die to the Shatterer are those who are afk as opposed to those that die to the ground AoE in the risen bubbles fight. Not to mention the Shatterer was previewed in their commercial trailers more than once, imagine buying this game thinking: “omg that boss is such a boss, I can’t wait to fight him!” only to find out that the pre-event took longer to complete than the actual fight itself… Oh well anything is better than nothing, and I’m pretty happy that they got some challenging world content that doesn’t as far as I know involve permanent stuns and knock backs.

Guild Wars 2 is not a sequel to the original Guild Wars but merely an alternative story setting.

I don’t like that you use Balthazar as an example. Yes he’s “hard” but he’s not complex. I don’t feel like it’s rewarding to defeat him. From what we’ve seen and heard, Tequatl will be a complex boss fight that emphasises an experience rather than just being hard.

Me too, especially when their name is spelt wrong…

It’s Kormir, and she was elevated by the other five gods, so I’d say she deserves it (and us GW1 vets fought hard to help her get there)

Because that is Rytlock’s line in the Races of Tyria trailer.

Dear ANet writers,
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.

No one likes kormir.

Pretty much sums up nightfall’s storyline, so spoiler alert I guess.
