No not at all, we’re used to dps/zerg tactics – fair enough since thats all we’ve been asked to play. This in some ways is how it should have launched, but its too early for the nerf cries until we can see if there is a learning curve.
All MMOs have these bosses where it takes weeks to work them out. GW2 should be no exception as long as game essential gear doesnt drop (which it doesnt)
It’s just getting used to learning mechnaics and not pure dps/zerging
I do hope people feel that the rewards are worth the effort, so we can have 80+ killing taco every time.
It may happen, i have seen the karka queen event being triggered at least 4 times these last two days.
The turrets really are huge. (Which is a bad design IMHO, but that’s another conversation…)
It seems like what SHOULD be happening is that Hardened Scales never stacks beyond 1-2 and most of the raid has huge might/fury/quickness uptime, that’s how the damage becomes possible.
But I think that, at this exact moment, most people won’t have a clue what I just said.
Someone said their server had it down to 10%… from a “raiding” perspective 10% after just a couple attempts is a very easy boss… it’ll get there…

Not to be pessimistic, but I second this – 10% is probably 70-80% more damage to Tequatl that most other servers, including Blackgate and Rall, so I’m a bit incredulous.
