So, in the trailer we see Tequatl conjure up this giant tidal wave that looks pretty cool. But then when I watch in-game footage of the battle, no tidal wave. Just simple shockwaves.

Does he really do the tidal wave at all? I’d be pretty disappointed if he didn’t.

He does it if people fail the ‘defend the laser/battery’ event for sure.

Not sure if he does it any other time. He may use it when his health is at 25% out of desperation.

Being one of the Group 2 folks who got hit with the tidal wave, I can confirm that it occurs when you fail the “defend the battery” event (and oh man was is painful!). I don’t think we livestream folks ever got far enough to see if the tidal waves occur at any other point of the event.

Cool tip…if you see that the battery event is about to fail, get your bum to one of the jump pads. You can jump over the tidal waves using the jump pads.

That tidal wave, along with the new attacks shown in the trailer aren’t in the game yet, and won’t be until the 17th.
