So, since there are so many guesting to Blackgate, we decided to go to Furegeson’s Crossing. Beat Teq with over 5 minutes remaining.

We took him from phase 2 directly back into phase 2 before the stun wore off. This is precisely why people need to put in effort to learn the fight instead of just saying it’s too hard.

I’m pretty sure most people posting here on the forums know the fight right now.

We simply all aren’t blackgate guesting to low pop servers to guarantee that we have the instance all to ourselves. Some people are trying to beat him on overflows with random party members the way most group events are intended.

This isn’t “most group events” this is meant to be hard. I’m pretty sure Anet has specifically said this event needs to be organized with guilds. With all the hype over the event and overflows right now guesting is our best option on Blackgate. Not only is organization during the fight important, but our commanders put all the time in between spawns making sure people aren’t afk, giving people an ice bow to start the event, and making sure even those that haven’t beaten it yet now exactly what to do. Despite having 150+ on the teamspeak the only people talking were a couple officers and those on turrets.

I imagine once this living story event is over the timer for Teq is not going to be as short. Guilds/servers can then easily plan when they are going to beat Teq, and also by that time everyone who goes will know what to do right away and the mass organization won’t be as necessary for an hour ahead of time.

We finished with over 5 minutes left. It is hard, but hardly impossible. Whether in overflows or “low-pop” servers don’t give up or get discouraged.

This isn’t about “BG pros”. If BG can do it with a massive amount of time left and skip an entire phase, that is a LOT of leeway for other groups.

You know that’s nonsense. When you’re stuck in a random overflow half the raid could be rolling around with condition specs unaware of the fact that conditions do nothing to the boss. You really can’t compare that to a coordinated group on VoIP all rocking proper specs for the fight. I’ve yet to see a truly random overflow go past 80%.

Please don’t guest to Blackgate. There are so many people doing that now that it’s impossible for the WvW guilds who’ve beaten him to co-ordinate on the same map due to all the guesters. That’s why we’ve been going to lower population servers. Just keep trying on your own server. Wouldn’t you be more proud that your server did it rather than TC or Blackgate doing it there?
