Currently the only way to get credit for Teq is to actually attack teq. Killing minions, bone walls and defending the cannons does not get you credit for the event, thus why everyone spams on teq and ignores the rest of the event.

If this is still the case after the changes then the event will never succeed because no one is going to do a job that gets them 0 credit.

will we get equal credit for killing minions as we do for damaging teq in this update or is it going to stay as spam teq or no rewards for you?

I would assume it’s like Scarlet, in that you get credit by just being there.

You only need to hit it a few times for gold reward currently anyway.

even if it only took 1 hit to get credit, people aren’t going to spend the time to go up there, hit him, then run back to defend a cannon. have you seen the zerg of people at jormag? 90% of them sit in front of him in a cluster while the other 10% kill ice stalagmites.

I’ve gotten gold on 3 autos with my warrior longbow. Hit harder?

Jormag is not on a 15 minute timer, though and that’s why the idiots get away with it. I trust these people will either learn and adapt, or stop doing Tequatl when they notice they can’t just jam down #1 skill and go AFK.

Spam #1, get credit. Leave the rest to the people who care. I didn’t even know there was something besides attacking Teq directly. And I play since beta.

The Zerg doesn’t care for fancy tactics and stuff. There is the mob you have to kill, so press #1 until you get your loot. If it fails, the next zerg event starts soon.

I’m sure once we figure out for sure what it is the bigger guilds will rotate people out of the cannons to make sure everyone gets credit, so you might get the short end of the stick a couple times but in time you’ll likely be OK.

I do agree though, you should definitely be able to get gold via the turrets, it’s a very necessary action and vital to the success of the event, why should it not count towards event participation?
