Since the fight is basically tuned for a large amount of level 80, well geared players anyway, why not bring some life to Orr and move the undead dragon to Orr where it can be met by players of appropriate skill level and gear?

The boss changed. He is no longer able to be defeated by players of that level with blues and greens anyway, so why not just commit to the change and move him to Orr?

Just my thoughts.

Because then Teq would be too easy if afks and paste eaters couldn’t get to him easily and cause overflow.
Can’t have that.

Perhaps because Teq craves tasty froglegs?

Because Zhaitan wouldn’t allow it. Zhaitan likes to keep Orr bone dry. Teq will get the place wet.

Probably because Orr already has the temple events which are time consuming and in many cases difficult, and they don’t feel they need another boss there.

True but that would be like them adding Jormag to the Ring of Fire because the Shiverpeaks have too many events.

Not really.

Jormag is already in the Shiverpeaks. He’s always been there, and the zone he’s in was designed with him there.

Tequatl is already established in Sparkfly Fen. The zone was created with Tequatl there, he’s the reason there’s so much Risen activity in the zone. Moving him from Sparkfly would leave that zone without a world boss and with less explanation for the mass amounts of Risen around. And putting him into Orr, which itself already has plenty of involved world boss events, wouldn’t really benefit those areas much.

He’s more threatening at Sparkfly Fen than he would be in Orr, as well, from a story perspective. Having him in Sparkfly makes it seem like the Risen are really branching out and threatening other areas of the world, which is the whole reason they’re a problem. If all the strong Risen were just hanging around Orr anyway, then who cares, Orr is dead already.

I am actually confused about why this mid-level dragon is so much harder than any of the other events in the game…

If there is going to be an event of this difficulty then I agree it should be in a more appropriate area for more appropriately geared and experienced players.

While we’re at it lets move the Maw event to Frostgorge, the new version of that certainly isnt for level 10s in white/blue gear.
