Why use precision/conditions/crit damage...
To be completely honest, yeah, it’s annoying that you can’t crit a world boss, but I’m glad it’s finally something in the game you can’t just throw on your zerker gear for and smack it down.

True that, but what about Knight/Celestial/Valkyrie/etc. gear?
Just replacing zerker with soldier’s is not the answer imho.
I’ve always ran Soldier’s so I’m not complaining. My gear is mixed, though.
I’m running a mix of soldier’s, berserker’s and celestial gear. The latter being especially worthless against world bosses.
Indeed, half of the stats are indeed useless. And you’ve got to equip specifically to do this boss. And to trust some other hundred strangers taken at random to have done it so, too.
I would say:
Zerker: Defending turrets
non-zerker: attacking Tequatl
Zerker gear works just as usual against the mobs. And don’t worry, you’ll get an eventual reward for every role, not just for attacking Tequi.
Zerker: Defending turrets
non-zerker: attacking Tequatl
This.
The only problem is that there are more zerkers than are required to defend the turrets. Too many defenders and you will fail to DPS.
Epistemic.8013: Guys this is bullkitten a sentient plant creature is hitting these
wooden doors with fireballs and it’s working.
It just means they are no longer universally the most desirable stats in EVERY SINGLE SITUATION and that it’s time to start utilizing new builds and equipment, which is probably what A-net is hoping for. Crits are still the way to go for dungeon running and fighting champions. Heaven forbid we should be forced to mix things up every now and then.
So no… we can’t just sit there on auto-attack, critting away a world boss for phreephatlootslol, which is pretty much what a lot of people have come to expect, running around in champ trains waiting for world bosses to spawn so they can be taken down in less than 5 minutes for loot that far outweighs the effort that went into getting it.
We never should have been able to in the first place.
What’s more is the fact that Condition Damage doesn’t affect Tequatl or the fingers. Meaning that they’re also stuck defending turrets from mobs.
I still think that zerkers still have a place attacking Taco because they still have a good amount of Power on them. It’s just that they aren’t as beefy.

By making Power the goto offensive stat by a large margin?
For the record, I’m not a zerker player complaining that the zerker gear no longer works. I’m annoyed that Power is the only answer when it comes to dealing damage. All other damage stats are already inferior to Power without the bosses being immune to crits and conditions.
