So I spent several hours yesterday trying to get to Elona Reach Sparkfly Fen, just to see how it’s supposed to be done. When I finally got there, me and my guildies spent another 3-4 hours in 2 tries that Elona did. I have to say I was impressed by german’s coordination and elegance in fight. Once again they proved how good they are in mmos. (I didn’t have have chance to see US players or any other successful EU server yet, so please don’t feel injured :P )

What I wanted to say is, I think I know why we fail so often in overflows and many servers. I won’t repeat tactic already known. Instead of that, I will talk about differences that I saw.

First, almost nobody died in DPS group during whole fight. Zerg has to make one big group standing in as small area as possible. You cannot expect turrets cleanse big area, so this makes things much easier for them and for you as well. Sure, few people will go downed, but you can give turrets few seconds to shoot by dodging, immunity skills etc. Also reviving downed players help. 5 seconds and everyone is back on his feet and fight continues.

Another problem, people that are not part of big participating group, squad or whatever often feel very selfish, deny to use any food for example. Considering how cheap the food against undead is, I simply don’t understand. Many of these “random” guys often stay lying dead on the surface, rather saying “we will fail again” or “this sucks” and take place of players that could be much more helpful. Please, if you don’t like the fight or “wasting” your time, move along to another zone and give your server chance to succeed.

Their post is relevant to the OP, but the grammar makes it difficult to interpret.

Ah, the dreaded naysayers.

- In reference to people who lay around dead on the field and complain. Or just rage quit and abuse everyone who happens to still be trying.

“I’m quitting, so why don’t you?”

- Quoting said naysayers who ragequit, and emphasizing their self-entitlement and obnoxious attitudes. “If I’VE given up, then YOU should. I’m better than EVERYONE and I know we don’t have a hope” kind of thing.

Such nonsense isn’t worth paying attention to.

- Don’t give the naysayers any credit by responding to them. Pretend they don’t exist. They probably enjoy antagonizing others and putting them in the same “helpless” position.

You can be sarcastic as much as you want, but the truth is, if you stand close to each other in dps zerg, turrets will have easier job and reviving downed people will be much faster

there are more reasons why we stay in one big zerg on Tequatl

canons #4 give damage buff for everyone in a area and #5 defense
this gives when on cd everyone +25stacks might, quickness and fury

and we rez with warriorbanners and have rotations for it

and canons have easier job to remove poison from everyone

I guess it’s the gold standard for rez.

I do a brisk biz in rez the thief fashioned way. For free. As long as they don’t check their pockets.

I always bring “Signet of Undeath” on my Necromancer – revives 3 downed allies. But yeah, banners are the only ones ever mentioned haha.
