I was on Vabbi (EU) server and DCd about 30 secs before your new and “flawless” Tequatl died. I was an active player during every phase of the event so my question is – when will you send me my chest reward and fill up my achivements?

Sure would be nice if contribution carried over in case of crashes.

Don’t be a clueless kitten. We had several people crash on TC and I can assure you it wasn’t ISP related.

I’m so sorry this happened to you! I remember the first time we successfully beat Scarlet (I know, not such a big deal) my game crashed right as she died. It happened again on the Shatterer the other night. It really sucks, and I know they’re working hard to improve the stability of everything!

As far as still getting a reward though, I don’t see how that would really be possible for them to do. Right now it’s plain and simple — contribute and be logged in when it completes, and you get a reward. But anything that I can imagine them changing that to would lead to an enormous amount of controversy and be impossible to accurately keep track of.

This was the first time I did a “rage quit” in a “multiplayer” game. I’m not even going to touch Tequatl again. I don’t even want to hear about him. I came here only to show them how bad this system is AND how bad Tequatl is in his current state.

That is a shame, as we need more people who’ve done a successful run and know the fight well. Other than that though, your post actually doesn’t really have anything to do with Tequatl. You DCd at a really bad time. That’s not Tequatl’s fault or this update’s fault. I suppose it is the system’s fault if your full connection was good the whole time, but based on how little the average person DCs, their system is pretty incredible compared to many other games.

I feel bad for you though. Most people who beat him feel amazing, in spite of non-exceptional rewards. I hate that you missed out on that feeling, and hope that you’re able to get it back sometime in the future.

Good news is — you guys did it once, which means you can do it again! Hopefully without the bad luck this time.

That’s not Tequatl’s fault or this update’s fault.

It kind of is since it has forced people to guest on popular servers which has in turn made those servers not quite as stable as they should be. It’s not even possible to get into your main instance anymore due to the encounter being camped out 24/7.

ANet needs to get back to the drawing board on this one.

I don’t think so. The rewards are poor and the event is too consuming to do it again in it’s current state… I’ve personally wasted about 6-8 hours and four attempts to kill him… as it turns out – for nothing

My game crashed just as Teq as going down, too. It opened that little window to send a report to ANet and everything.

I am so happy TC did it and that I was there for the whole event (except for the last 10 seconds because of the crash) that I really don’t mind.

I can say you that drop wasnt even worth that fight 1 yellow, 4 green, 3 blue. and some ascended craft things. sooo That fight was fun and it was nice ! dont be so bad about “i got better drop from trash” chest
