GW2 have organized content at the level of max 5 players
Then there is unorganized content – Zerg

Now with the Teq., zerg is not enough to take the dragon down you need to have around 100 organized players but in the game there is no foundation for that (cant create raid group, some players will end up in owerflow…)

I dont get this crazy idea by anet to create essentially a open world Raid (by raid I mean organized grp of players) requiring around 100 players
That is a really stupid way of introducing raids to gw2 because there are no tools in game to manage, create raid

If this is the direction the game goes, most changed world events will be empty (like they use to be before they increased the reward/“guaranteed yellow”).

Frustration and grief are finding their ways into open world events. Good servers will start to fail as well because when the word gets out (about their “success”) ppl will camp for a spot on those servers, which will lead to events failing there as well.

Patch summary

  • non working LFG tool;
  • WvW fiasco due to the new Ruins of Power (killed any non zerg activity that took place there);
  • PvE fiasco – more HP on already boring bosses (i.e Shatterer, Maw); Tequatl changes (cheese artificial difficulty).

I rarely post on the forum, but this patch made me say “WoW, wtf is happening to arenanet leadership?”.

In my opinion the guy who authorized this, should take a step back (because he/she/it is clearly living in a bubble). This drama was foreseen from miles away by any decent MMO player out there (exception being “brain dead”redditors and some “die-hard” fans).

You know, I like the other bosses, but Teq is just way over the top. The timers are fine, the extra HP and better damage is fine, but the sheer scale that Teq requires is absurd.

Think about it – it took the best server getting almost 100% organisation to beat it – once. They haven’t managed again, and nobody else has done it at all yet. This is absurd.

Give it time guys. I have no doubt we’ll find effective ways to farm Tequatl before the months is over.

Over the past year GW2 zerging has conditioned some pretty bad habits like not respawning after you died and a general ignorance of combat mechanics.

Tequatl 2.0 is challenging this a little. It may be a bit overwhelming at first but I’m sure we will adapt.

I don’t mind that they beefed up some of the existing bosses, because lets be fair, they died in mere seconds before. But they should stop testing these events on Live. It often feels like we the players are the ones play testing the new content. Some of the timers added to bosses may be way too tight, and may not scale correctly with the number of players.
