Are there any professions where this skill is truly beneficial?

On my engineer it’s pretty pointless outside of the event toxin. Are there any professions that really benefit from this heal/cleanse skill?

I imagine that was the basic idea.

Its not meant to be something entirely nessicary to any one profession. I doubt they want to replace profession-specific skills with generic ones. Its probably added mostly for the purpose of this event, but will otherwise remain in the game as an option for use in specific situations.

I can see it being useful on classes that don’t have cleanses in their normal healing array, though. Engineer has 2 cleanses on 2 different heal skills, so they probably benefit the least, but classes like Mesmer and Guardian could benefit from being able to have a cleanse on their heal skill instead of needing to use utilities or traits.

Yup, this can potentially benefit Mesmers who don’t want to invest into the cleanse-specific traits…won’t do a thing for my necro though. Ah well

Yeah, for mesmers and guardians who are already great at cleansing via utilities it’ll be be a nice addition, but outside of that, I can’t see 1 profession really wanting to use it outside of toxic alliance, and maybe guild bounties.
