When we get inside the tower to beat some of Scarlet’s hybrid reject boyfriends and Sushi freaks, hopefully we’ll make our way to the crowning uber-flower/spore at the top.

What sort of monstrosity should the players hallucinate in your opinion?

Zhaitan?
An army of Giganticus Lupicus?
Justin Bieber?

Anet is going to make the final instance 5v5 sPvP, except the hallucination debuff will make your opponents appear to be Nightmare Court, or Bandits, or Molten Alliance, etc. We’ll be tricked into playing sPvP and we won’t even know it.

I could be right … the foreshadowing was in the opening ToN instance.

Also: MAN BEAR PIG would be a little scary.

I was thinking something very similar….make your group members appear as enemies and everyone ends up killing one another if they aren’t paying attention. It would be hilarious.

You enter the tower. Scarlet’s maniacal laughter fills the air as the poison spores cloud the air with toxins. The next thing you know, everything goes dark. You begin to feel panicked, isolated, where are your friends? Your enemies? And then you spot it, emerging from the darkness swiftly. It’s the most terrible thing you’ve ever seen and you can’t help but experience the sense of impending doom…

He never raised his voice. That was the worst thing. The fury of the Seraph. And then we discovered why. Why this man, who had fought with gods and demons, why he’d run away from us and hidden. He was being kind.

He wrapped Rytlock in unbreakable chains, forged in the heart of a dwarf star.
He tricked Eir into the event horizon of a collapsing Asura gate to be imprisoned there forever.

He still visits Zojja once a year every year. I wonder if one day he might forgive her, but there she is. Can you see? He trapped her inside a mirror, every mirror. If ever you look at your reflection and see something move behind you, just for a second, that’s her. That’s always her.

As for Caithe, she was suspended in time thanks to Jenna’s power. And this man, Logan Thackery, put her to work standing over the fields of Shaemoor, as their protector, as a scarecrow.

In hindsight I shouldn’t watch my Doctor Who episodes while being silly on these threads.

Maybe I’m the most blasphemous person on this world (hell yeah), but I have no idea what Atlas tried to convey there – I’ve watched 2 separate episodes of Doctor Who, is all (didn’t grab my attention).

Someone would please care to elaborate? :/ I want to know and offer my congratulations. Heck, I still do that, ‘cause it’s very creepy and cosmically awesome.

It’s referring to The Family of Blood episode where the Doctor is hiding on earth from a hostile alien species (“the family”), who wants to consume his life essence (to live forever). By hiding, he can hold out till this alien species dies due to their limited lifespan (3 months to be exact). In order to hide he becomes human/mortal and wipe his memory into a Time Lord device, so it will be harder to track his location. However things go wrong and “the family” finds him which forces the doctor hand to intervene. The twist is the doctor was not running away because he feared them, but he actually was trying to let them live out their short lives without his intervention. However because of their persistence along with the atrocities they have (and possibly would have) caused, he punished them for all of eternity (poetic justice). Here is a clip of the events leading up to what he does to them, so you get a better idea.

Back on topic I find it interesting that nothing technological has been shown yet. I have been wondering if scarlet just has another hidden machine up at the top of the tower. Or most of her work is purely biological and chemical this time around.

Pretty much what Sindex said.
I was rewatching some DVR episodes of Who when typing it up.
Then I remembered one of the best episodes I’ve ever loved, the one Sindex talked about.

We constantly mock Logan’s running away to save Jennah, so I wanted to turn the purpose on its head.

The room 11 part was from a Matt Smith episode (the 11th Doctor) called The God Complex
People get locked in a hotel and eventually see their worst fears, the Doctor saw his but the audience never get a clue as to what he saw.

Since this thread was talking about hallucinations, with that come some fears, I decided both episodes would serve a purpose in my humor, raise Logan up a rung in the level of awesomeness, and it gave me a giggle in the process.

In my nightmare scenario, it would be that little Asuran nutcase from the Lost Shores event who kept screaming "CITIZENS! CITIZENS! CITIZENS!!!

There’d be no escaping save for jumping out the nearest window.

You enter the tower with your party. Everything goes black. You wake up 2 days later in your home instance, alone. There’s no sign of your party. Also it smells like something is burning. Oh wait, that’s just the buildings. You try to pry the door of your house open, perhaps looking to salvage some of your belongings. You find a charr cub minipet wandering around your house aimlessly. There’s also a Destroyer locked in your bathroom. So begins the epic story arc of finding the rest of your party. And yes, you did steal a Pact airship.

So we just amp up the “Dude where’s my chugger?” arc in the Norn story?
I’m good with that.
