HAHA This is so true.
Really wish they had a couple writers that really knew how tell a GOOD story. The current living story is the most pathetic attempt at story telling I have ever seen.
1. Write every enemy faction’s name on a slip of paper.
2. Put these slips in a hat.
3. Draw two slips of paper. These enemy factions will form an alliance.
4. Hint to that this alliance was forged by a greater force.
5. Reveal that this force is Scarlet.
6. Rinse & repeat
you made me feel sad reading this, I had hoped that they would at least stick to lore and keep the Krait the extreme xenophobic race that it is… but noooo.
Good job Anet in ruining what I thought was the only decent race left. As soon as you infected them with the Scarlet virus they lost all credibility.
So annoyed with these so called writers now.

This is sort of like the very long Civ 5 game I played, only it involved a lot of betrayal and backstabbing as well.
I’m glad that living story isn’t actually done that way, can you imagine dredge and krait forming an alliance.. I would ALT + F4 so fast.
Plus, once Scarlet has finally been downed anything else after that we have can be pretty sure will be a better villian. Rather than having a better villian now and then having to deal with Scarlet later.
Flame & Frost was actually a pretty great series of updates. Then they decided to try and do it over, and over again, each time worse than the last.

First and second Flame and Frost updates were really bad. Just a few items to click and done. Maximum 1 hour of content and then nothing for a month. Third update was ok, only last update was really good.
